    TN/NC Mountain Drive - July 13 - 14, 2019 - Official Announcement

Sorry to miss y'all. I opted-out when faced with high probability of rain/thunderstorms. I'm close enough that I have the good fortune to go pretty much at will when the weather if fair. No need to put these assets at risk today.

    TN/NC Mountain Drive - July 13 - 14, 2019 - Official Announcement

Hope everyone has realistic expectations about doing any 'zesty' driving... On a prime-time summer weekend on 129/ToD, it will be a 15-20 mph bumper-to-bumper parade procession, not spirited country driving. Still, it will be nice to convene with other owners. If any participants are up for...

Validate tire sizes for Tecnomagnesio 17/18 combination

sounds good, Doc. What wheels are you using then? With the 235 fronts, how much steering lock do you lose? I know from experience with my Porsche and also on my existing plus sized 16/17s on the NSX, one can't use about 10% of full lock.

Validate tire sizes for Tecnomagnesio 17/18 combination

no doubt, it's been said before... but, I'll raise this question anew. Re-shoeing my NSX with 17X8.5/18X9.5" Tecnos, and considering using Toyo RA-1. Looks like the size options are 205/40/17 front and 275/35/18 rear. I'd like to use a 215 in front, but, does not appear to be available. Opinions...

    2015 Window Fixing Tour - July/11 to October/09

Hugo made a stop here in N. Ga. at the Global HQ of Chin Motorsports. The windows on NSXNUT have been re-habbed, better than new. Hugo is a legit expert master of his craft. Well worth my money. Recommended.

How the 2016 Acura NSX works as posted on Jalopnik...

Doug, that vid is sourced from Chin Motorsports... we're at Sebring as usual on Friday, and this is the view from the Chateau Elan balcony. Posted by our own staff, and now viral across NSX websites/FB pages.... !

    Mid-Atlantic HPDE groups

I usually resist the temptation for shameless plugs. But, my brethren have called me out... The humble beginning of Chin Motorsports was an informal gathering of NSX enthusiasts at Sebring in 1999. Today, Chin Motorsports is the largest provider of non-competition sports car track events...

Edmunds Buys a Used NSX For a Long Term Test

regarding water in the trunk, there's probably no issues with the seals... it's the drains... For those that don't already know, there is a drain port in each of the trunk lid forward corners, same vicinity as the hinges/struts. Water naturally flows in to the gaps between the trunk lid and...

    Got a new DD, 10 mazdaspeed 3

I also drive a Mazda3/Hatch for DD... mine's an '04 3S, pre-"Speed3". The 3S at that time came with 17s, better brakes and susp, and 2.3L/170hp. Basically, everything on the Speed3 EXCEPT the turbo... . That's OK, I already have 1 hot rod... I've owned the Mazda3 6 yrs and love it...

    Nsxpo 2012

Maria and I lived in the heart of the Rockies for several years. Denver is ideal in mid-Sept. Mtn drives can be spectacular, Aspens and cottonwoods turning. I always struggle with getting my Chin Motorsports track event schedule to coincide with NSXPO... but, if it fits in 2012, we're there...

    Use CAUTION when jacking!

Hrant, in the interest of being hopefully crystal clear: the jack was nearly full height, lateral load on the greasy spot pushes the jack head back ever-so-slightly, off of the frame rail and onto the side skirt. Gravity takes over, and everything in the vertical plane above the jack gets...

How the NSX has changed my life.

Mitch's story reminds me that being an NSX owner has also changed my life... seriously... Here's the Cliff's notes: After a relentless career in hotels and restaurants in the 80's and 90's, I had become successful enough to buy an NSX in 2000. Then, I did my first track event. Then, I did more...

    Use CAUTION when jacking!

Oh, PS, I got the only OEM brand-new passenger door in the country currently. Brand-new, in the box, not a take-off. So, if you happen to need that door, oh well, you'll have to wait for the next one to come from Mother Honda!
