    I'm sooo excited and I just can't....

May we ask you sponsored this event? About the driver of the rented 350Z ,was he from the Washington, DC area do you know? Last year I had a student at VIR from that area ( ? maybe Potomac, MD ) who rented a 350Z and embellished his driving resume (to put it politely) on his application...

How many miles does your OEM clutch last before replacement?

There was a non-scientific poll on this question a few months ago. A few were replaced by 30,000 miles and others lasted over 100,000 miles. As I recall that the mean was 40 to 60,000 miles. Obviously, it depends on how much abuse the clutch receives. Careful, smooth drivers seem to do quite...

I suddenly feel tired of NSX ownership! Help!

All too well  It took me 2 years to sell my J-24 sloop which I had on Lake Norman near Charlotte. I admit to being hesitant

    Best year for track use?

Not hardly! I have lost interest in the track, it seems. My thing was to bring my cars to the track on sport street tires; run her that way on the track; then drive home. I had driven as well/fast as I could like that. Frankly, I started too late about age 50 but still did track events off and...

    Best year for track use?

I think that most early NSX owners would agree that you will not miss power steering except maybe when parallel parking which I never did -very tight spaces in other words. Once you are moving 5 MPH, the lack of power steering in the light weight NSX is an advantage because of the very direct...

    Best year for track use?

Sorry, you are correct about prefering nonpower steering - but power came in 1995. The 16 and 17 inch wheels introduced in 1994 are much better stock wheel sizes for grip. But if you are going to change the wheels then a 1992 or 1993 is fine.

    Racing Brake update!

Try ERZ Motors. They have used parts from high end cars. I bought my 97+ rear calipers with brackets from them ($325 including shipping for both). Very good reputation. NSXTASY agrees. They sell used rotors too ~ $100 for 2. Email Joe Toth at: [email protected]

I suddenly feel tired of NSX ownership! Help!

Well, I had similar feelings recently and sold mine yesterday after enjoying her for 3 1/2 years. Having driven DE's on and off for 15 years, I got tired/bored with going around in circles. I have learned a lot, met a lot of interesting / helpful people who loved cars, and driven as well as I...

A good week gone bad at the track...

A good week gone bad at the track...

Hi, NA14YU - Be careful from whom you get your ideas when you are a novice. And try not to be creative on your own. For example, Porsche's are built loose to lubricate the cyclinders and normally burn one quart of oil every 2000 to 3000 miles. On the track they go through oil even faster so over...

    Honda Japan buy back program

That's my prediction. It is going to happen after the dollar falls further. It happened with older Ferraris when the dollar fell significantly in the late 1980s. Europeans brought them "home".

    Rotor Size 1997

Part of the genius of the NSX design it that the ~ 42% front/58% rear static weight distribution changes under heavy braking toward 50%/50%. Thus the NSX rear brakes do a larger percentage of the braking than on a car with a front engine - which statically weights more in the front plus the...

A good week gone bad at the track...

I was curious about the size of wheels and tires that you used but see from your first post that you were using stock 15 and 16 inch wheels with Yoko's. I wouldn't think that you could generate excessive lateral G-force with that combination. I am doubtful that the 180 degree Turn #8 caused the...

What are NSXs Selling for in Europe??

rsevo6 - If one wants to import a car, I think one needs to contact an import/export broker such as Expeditors International who handle the paper work. Tell me your country and what ocean port you will use. I will contact them about costs.
