AEM EMS + bolt ons?

Is anyone running an NSX with a standalone ECU and just bolt-ons (I/H/E)? If so, are the gains worth it?

I've seen substantial gains going with a custom tune + bolt-ons on other cars that have been conservatively tuned from the factory, but I don't know if the NSX would qualify. I have a 1997 6-speed and I understand the NA2 headers flow better than the NA1, but is there any more power to extract from the engine in stock NA form?

Eventually, I'd like to go turbo or high-compression NA so an EMS would become necessary down the road. However, I'm debating if I should get the EMS now or wait and spend the $$$ on other areas of the car.

Thanks.

I think you can get about 20 whp with a full AEM engine management and bolt on mods.
