Comptech Air Filter or K&N Filter

I currently have the Comptech Air Filter (Uniflow). I have the side vent snorkel that goes to the factory airbox. Is there an advantage of this foam filter compared to the K&N?
I've always had K&N in all my cars. When I bought the X, it already came with it. In reading some threads both filters require to be oiled.
Are there any signicant power gains?
I am planning on buying the K&N since I know how to clean it, etc. I've read that I can't use the same K&N cleaner kit with the Uniflow.....
Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Keep what you have unless you just like spending money. The uni cleaning isn't much different from the k&n. I had the uni on mine.

And just take the snorkel system out if you get bored one day.

Neither system will give you any benefit. Stick with OEM paper filters.

I would just keep whatever you have right now

I like the K&N filters. I just toss them in the laundry with the GFs lingerie.

use Tide with Bleach and she won't even notice.....
