Custom Stereo Work

I've decided the Crappy Bose/Alpine factory stereo system has to go! I've got the snap/crackle/pop noises again... this time I'm not fixing the amps. I'm currently working on a custom sub box, has anyone changed the sub box or entire stereo system? I'd like to hear from you, I know its going to be alot of custom work.

Does anyone know the maximum depth I can make a custom box?

Does anyone have the bose to normal head unit wiring colour code or where I can get an adapter cable? If such a thing exists that is?

Can anyone shed some light on the subject, I found some info from the board here: http://www.agonyguild.com/nsx/audio/

Does anyone know how deep this sub box is?

Seeing how I've already bought Infinity components (605s set http://www.infinitysystems.com/caraudio/product.asp?ProdId='REF605CS'&Ser=REF&Cat=COS ) 6.5 mid-bass + Tweets + 18db X-Over...I was thinking of using an Infinity Perfect '10 (10.1 http://www.infinitysystems.com/caraudio/product.asp?ProdId='KAPPA+PERFECT10%2E1'&Ser=KPE&Cat=SUB ) in a custom sub enclosure to keep everything the same... I believe it has a mounting depth of 6 inches? Is this going to be too much? I can get it for a very good deal right now for about $100 CND about $60 US retail at local shops roughly $450~500 CND... I'm willing to sacrifice a few inches down by the pasenger footwell if needed...

You can also try www.daliracing.com for a complete "bolt on" stereo upgrade(almost bolt on).

Thanks, I've checked some of these sites already Dali site is very good... kinda expensive for an empty enclosure $400 with no sub, and no tuning specs... guess you also have to buy the sub from them tuned for the box... even more $$$

Well here we go... today I decided to start the removal process for the Stock BOSE snap, crackle, pop system. I had a hell of a time removing the sub box, turns out The Acura tech who replaced my amp the last time decided to rush and force the lower right bolt crooked into place, causing the bolt to strip, and break loose the rear tig welded nut... so you get nothing but spin! Which meant a 30min job turned into a 3 hour waste of my time. I had to hack-saw the bolt outta place, finnaly success... now on to fiberglass...
