Stereo Fuse keeps blowing

The 10 Amp fuse for the stereo keeps blowing. I have replaced it 2 times now in 3 weeks. The car does have an aftermarket amp installed (which is probably powering the door speakers). What is causing this and how can i fix it? Should i use a different fuse (5 Amp/20 Amp)?

How is your aftermarket amp wired? It should NOT be pulling through the 10 amp fuse that runs your head unit. It should be wired directly to the battery and it should have it's OWN fuse installed right next to the positive battery terminal.

i am not possitive but i am pretty sure it is wired correctly to the battery. Just wondering if that could be a factor in why the fuse for the stereo keeps on blowing. Any ideas?

Perhaps a short somewhere, either in the wiring to the head unit or the head unit itself? I do not have a manual handy so I'm not sure if anything else runs off that fuse.
