VigLink's "The Automotive Products Your Readers are Buying" list

Since I signed up for VigLink I get some emails about what users on various VigLink-affiliated sites are buying. I got this a while ago and just got around to looking at it.

I found it interesting for a few reasons...

1. Because you can see what people are actually buying, not just what is being advertised.

2. Some of the stuff, like GPS units and car stereo gear, is pretty predictable. But it surprised me that so many people really buy engine lifts they made the top 10 list! They must have some serious DIY automotive websites signed up.

3. You really can buy anything on Amazon... I never would have thought to look for tires there. Has anyone bought tires from Amazon? IT seems like tirerack.com and tires.com would be hard to compete with for online tire sales since both of those companies have a lot of specialized knowledge, fitment info, testing results, etc.

That was Link Insertion, which I tried for a week but turned off earlier today because I found it annoying.

See http://nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1505615#post1505615 for more info.

The rest of VigLink seems to work pretty well and is not intrusive at all so I'm liking it.
