My service advisor has always guided to go my the computer
My car will turn 9 years old and has a bit over 15K miles and runs great
I am still on the original tires (one rear changed early on due to a sidewall cut and noting I have a second set of wheels/tires for winter
I am thinking about...
Thanks for posting
I hadn't seen this either
Not sure about the production targets quoted but no matter there
I had mine out yesterday and had a blast with it like I always do
My NSX is happy to live I'm my man cave
It visits the dealership's service center twice a year for seasonal wheel swaps and any other services
Not planning to chat with the front of the dealership
My servicing dealership routinely sends mail and email blasts asking if I want to upgrade (to an MDX for example), really an unfiltered approach
I just received a letter from them saying we can't find good Gen 2 NSX cars in the auctions and we have people looking for them
We will pay over market...
Please note that $380 was the installed price for the battery.
I started the thread with the thought of a battery upgrade, the Optima Yellow Top, a well known "better than OEM" kind of product.
I don't know why, but I have not got myself to embrace Li ion replacements for lead acid version.
I...
Just sharing here.
My first battery quit all at once, dashboard showed lots of codes after jumping it, car under 4 years old.
I tried to get the servicing dealer to replace the second battery last fall, prophylactically but the dealer said it tested fine.
This past winter it required a jump...
Brought the car into the servicing dealership today.
They would have installed the Optima but it would take a day to source from NAPA, about $140 more than the OEM part.
I went with the OEM battery, about $380 installed and has an 8 year warranty, 3 years at 100% coverage and sliding pro-ration...
My car is 8 1/2 years old
The original 12V battery was replaced under warranty when the car as around 3 1/2 years old
I credit longer battery life for this one to keeping the car in sport + for at least 20 minutes before shutting it down
It has required a jump a couple of times this winter...
When mine was replaced it was like $6K (covered by insurance).
In addition to the windshield, there are multiple trim pieces that Acura recommends including replacing in the repair (by the book).
Since then other folks have had the job done, re-using the above-mentioned trim pieces.
I own 0243
I noticed the gap between the hatch and the passenger side is a bit more than on the driver side when I picked up my car in 2016
I chalked it up to the US build and called it a day
Honestly, the overall build quality for the NSX was quite good, just not as good as my LC500 Convertible
Totally agree, a big part of why Gen 2 was flunk zilla was lack of individualization (and no open top iteration)
I was told that for any paint color, Honda goes through a full validation of how it will hold up
That would make offerings like paint to sample take forever to be produced and at a...
PMC cert is not associated with a factory tour.
I received one for my 2017.
Kind of a combo congratulations, thank you and momento.
Includes a lot of build specifics for your car.
Some odd trivia, ex. D8 is body colored rear deck lid. I haven't seen one with a non body colored deck lid.
Notes...
When Lee was the Internal NSX Specialist, the points he made for going with Cosworth were:
Honda did not have a low production oriented facility for the NSX motor.
They liked the plasma-ion spray coating Cosworth uses.
Honda engineers had to go help Cosworth figure out how to increase their...
I was at a cars and coffee today and this appeared.
Had a nice chat with the owner.
2020 130R white on full black leather, CF interior package, interwoven wheels, red calipers, steel brakes, no exterior CF.
He had been looking for an NA2 and kept getting outbid.
He has a car business and will...
I believe that job is well described as periods of boredom or complete anxiety
I hope you use Ultane (I am an AbbVie retiree)
Sorry, I am not that committed to do NSXPO
I messed up and was too lazy to go when it was next door in WI
