All-in-one Android Auto, Backup Camera, and Dash Cam Install

With respect to the "data rate", there is no data, it's a power supply only when in use on the car. Design hours: too many to count since I was trying a few options for optimal dashcam function. Install hours for the final product: <2 for the front screen since I already had the GROM installed...

Headlight Upgrade - LED, HID, Etc

@Old Guy & @FlyboyShooter : A bigger question may be whether they're being adjusted at all, which may be why you're trying to figure out what adjusts what? As I mentioned back on post #18, most are rusted solid and aren't actually moving, although they don't feel seized because of the unusual...

    NSX Video findings

Wish I was fluent in Japanese to watch this tribute (& the subtitles are also Japanese), but is the "primary" NSX a 1990 JDM as labeled, or a 1994 from when they finally fixed the fat-5's? That NSX seems to have been rewired for motorcycle-style rear DRL, as I've done as well, or was that OEM in...

Wondering what a 2005 is worth

🧢 off for driving it, as I believe it was intended! Don't look at this excellent prime valuation spreadsheet by @RacerXwing, drive your NSX! yolo Unfortunately our cars now share another trait of the Ferrari's that Honda was benchmarking when they built the NSX. Per-mile depreciation per mile...

Can anyone identify this kit or what specific parts are on this NSX?

"Your car, your choice", but this has me rethinking my position. With the imbalance, panel gaps, & gas cap treatment, looks homemade. The rear fender integration with the bumper seems to be a work in progress. At least you can say it's one of one.

Welcome screen image suggestions for NA?

Thanks for noting my lack of follow-up @ike44 ; I only followed up on my 3D print thread. I sent Mike's file in to Carpuride as well and also noted that they didn't seem to do much other than change the filename, but it works, so no complaints. (y)(y) Love the NSX logo boot! Thanks Mike...

Headlight Upgrade - LED, HID, Etc

There are still 50W options and I'd wager that either the 30's or the 40's will be fine as well. I'm happy with the 30W B1's and there are a ton of Primers who've gone this route. If I was doing it again, I'd probably do the 30W B1's again. yemv; I only drive at night ~10-20% of the time...

Headlight Upgrade - LED, HID, Etc

@MeFryRice I'm sure you'll find the 60 W versions plenty adequate , perhaps even a bit much, but please report your findings back here. Good news is that Boslla has a great return policy if you find them too much or too little or don't like the pattern. @Old Guy, there are some...

    Part number front bumper beam

Blackhawk seems to have them for less, but shipping is similar. RHD Japan is quoting cheaper shipping it seems, but I've never dealt with them. https://www.rhdjapan.com/garage-kite-front-rear-bumper-forcement-set-frp-nsx-na1-na2.html Unwieldy to ship, so pretty brutal unless you know...

At that price, why not go all the way & get carbon, or save $ & weight with the Garage Kite FRP?

Rubber trunk stoppers - updated, with photos!

Guessing you're pre-1997? Honda agrees with your assessment and updated it for 1997+, adding nibs to hold the stopper. You could upgrade to the 1997+ trunk hinges, but a little 2-sided tape worked for me. Someone used superglue, but I wouldn't go that far in case you ever want to remove it. I...

Solved: Motorcycle style Front & Rear Daytime Running lights - "Super DRL's"?

Just chatting with some folks at the Marysville meeting and remembered this thread on rear visibility. Probably just as helpful as the rear daytime running lights is a flashing rear spoiler brake light which I've added as well. The boxes are available many places, but Desmond adds OEM connectors...

    Normal alternator charge voltage

With the battery switch resulting in both cars starting without recharging, that strongly suggests that the battery is not the problem, but that it is a connection or charging issue. Check for a loose battery connection, corrosion, or a stretched/overtightened battery clamp. Several threads on...

I'm so glad it worked out for you safely, but I can't believe you drove 100 miles on that spacesaver! What is the date code on it??? Maybe I should investigate putting a new tire on that rim. This thread claims some way to use a Mercedes tire, but I can't access the UK NSX site thread that it...

    NSX TARGA TOP SUN/RAIN COVER

In the minority here, but I'd be interested in the Jet-fighter cover. It looks ugly, but it looks like it would keep the interior from getting as hot.

    FUJITSUBO BREAK IN NOISES?

Man! I wish I'd known you were heading to Marysville so I could have made a point of meeting you & seeing/hearing your NSX! It was great to meet @D Baggins, @2jeffz along with @sca037 ! I must have missed you several times as I was parked a couple spaces over from Bob. 🕶️

Awesome meet! So many awesome cars (400+, & 20+ NSX's) and the museum was a great visit. Not that big but jam packed with nuggets. Great to see the Hondas of my youth and the CBR again, & that MP4! Our first Honda - I never saw one in this color in the wild, but my mom had ours painted orange...

Edit: just got that POS site to sell me a ticket. It won't work with Safari, but I got it to work with Chrome after agreeing to have my privacy invaded. What a SLIMY website. Collects a shit-ton of personal information for no good reason. Mandatory cookies and a bunch of other tracking. Wonder...

Hey @neuronbob, I've been getting questions from folks about what exactly this event is. I probably should have investigated more myself before I signed up, but I'm up for the surprise of these things myself. The Ticketing site supplied has scant information other than it's something to do with...

My first NSX! 2000 New Formula Red

Windshield sunshade from Weathertech makes a HUGE difference in the temperature when you hop back in. Really noticed it at NSXPO in Atlanta & Dallas, even more than the Great White North. Wish they made a small one for the rear window too - I had to make one out of cardboard. Also, tan might...

Headlight Upgrade - LED, HID, Etc

First off, thanks for adding instead of starting a new thread since starting new threads leads to lots of related threads and makes it very hard for folks in future to find a quick summary, and then they start a new thread... Very pleased with the B1's at 30W/bulb myself, & they're pretty...

    Rear Led Bulbs

wrt the brake lights/tail lights: Of the three "brake lights" #2, #3, & #4 in your diagram, the outer 2 are the 1157 (#2 & #3). Yes, you need Red LED bulbs - the white bulbs look orange and are not as bright because more non-red light is being filtered out. I posted a picture of it somewhere but...

Suggestions on accommodation Marysville...
