No longer the one that got away...

Welcome neighbour! Gorgeous example. It was red or yellow for me, but there seemed to be a lot fewer yellow about - glad you got one. Rims (y) - about the only rims that can compete with the Zanardis. If you get sick of the front plate, I regard the $150 fine every few years as a reasonable fee...

    WTB NSX Manual

Welcome to Prime & Congrats on the purchase. I'd delete this thread or delete your email from it. These forums are public and there always bots about searching for Bonafide email addresses to sell to the spammers.

    door panel help

Do I change them now or just leave them? The screws look similar and are #5 self-tapping, but if the 16 mm are too long, is there something to hit in the window mechanism behind? They've been that way for 5 years in my 1995, so I'm tempted to leave them, but my OCD wants everything correc. Argghhhh!

    door panel help

Hey @Kaz-kzukNA1 , can you explain this to me? You're saying the gold metalic screws go at the front in the black plastic while the black screws screw into the metallic portion at the back? I must say that looks rather odd, but I have seen it once before. Personally, I'm wondering if it matters...

WTB: 1991-199X NA1 Red Coupe MT + Manual Steering Rack

That does look good and seller's remorse seems more common than buyer's remorse in my experience as well. 🤔 The fellow I bought mine from changed his mind about selling it twice, once when I had already driven over an hour to him. Not sure how important a manual rack is to you, but that will...

    door panel help

Welcome to Prime @iamkimu and congrats on getting the fastest color! Congrats on getting that handle trim out - that's a bugger the 1st time. I assume you've got everything working correctly now. As @bullithollywood noted, the interior door handle activates the latch via the cable with the blue...

    WTB NA2 Alternator

Guessing local Acura quoted crazy $ for it with mid-July delivery, or stated it was unobtainable? I've been getting that more and more lately. Amayama & oemacuraparts.com both have it. https://www.oemacuraparts.com/oem-parts/acura-alternator-assembly-clg18-denso-31100pr7j01

How much would I regret getting an Auto (and old ABS, NA1) instead of a 6MT

As someone with NA1 (JDM gearing) and NA2 manuals, the joy is the razor sharp handling and cornering on rails, which will be be present with either transmission. That and the wind in your hair (if you like that.) It accelerates fine, but any EV will blow its doors off - the joy is holding speed...

Vented Dust Caps for LED Headlights

Mea culpa. First let me say that I'm very thankful that companies like MITA continue to make parts for our beloved NSX's, and they have treated me well as a customer, making great effort to ensure I got my console trim delivered in a narrow time window. First class service all around and I...

DIY: Manual Transmission Fluid Change (91-05)

Great video as ever Chris. Wish I had it before I did my MTF. While the pump works OK for refilling, I made this revised funnel using ~3' of Pex that makes the job way easier, clearing the rear fender perfectly. The Pex fits nicely in fill hole with just enough room for excess to leak out. Just...

Video: Fuel Injector Removal & Reinstallation After Cleaning, 1991-2005

Watch around 7:57 in the video: Not sure if it applies to pre-1997, but my injectors came back from RC with a green o-ring on the top (fuel rail) and a black o-ring on the bottom (manifold) if that helps. RC replaced 5 parts for me, the upper and lower o-rings, the upper and lower cushion...

Video: Fuel Injector Removal & Reinstallation After Cleaning, 1991-2005

That is an awesome vid Chris and it explains the operation of those clips so well! Once you've seen one off the injector, it's clear, but your video will be perfect for someone who hasn't done it before. Only -ve is how amateurish it makes my video look. While I don't have picks like that, I...

Vented Dust Caps for LED Headlights

To each their own, and that is impressive form. Yup, your mill is way faster than my ancient printer that prints a set of caps overnight. (You sound like my son, who also hates 3D printing and makes everything out of metal.) There's a huge variation in printers/quality, just like machine shops -...

Vented Dust Caps for LED Headlights

Very impressive to make those so quickly and they look beautiful. I'm jealous of your workshop. /Rant on/ Your distain for 3D printed parts is your call, but 3D printing has has advanced dramatically and I'd encourage you to reconsider. For instance, since printing the dust caps in ASA/ABS, the...

Vented Dust Caps for LED Headlights

If you've already invested in the CNC machines, no reason not to use them, but my perception is that the cost could be notably higher to make them than 3D printing. If you could make and sell these things for ~$25 a pop, you'd probably have a bunch of buyers, including me. But these cars are a...

Video: Fuel Injector Removal & Reinstallation After Cleaning, 1991-2005

A couple of other Primers like @acuhon have also recommended this, that you clean the injectors when you change the fuel filter, and I agree. I actually did the fuel filter at the same time as well, but I edited the fuel filter change out because @Chris_Lum had already done such an excellent...

    NSX taillight led bulbs

My comments on LED brake/signal bulbs: While I think LED's are critical for safety for brake lights because they are brighter and, more importantly, illuminate faster to give following drivers more warning, we already have an LED spoiler light, so LED brake lights might not be quite as...

    I finally got one!

Welcome to the club! You won't regret it. I bet it's not long before you change daily drivers, if you can tolerate the increased attention and constant (y)'s from all the video-game generation. You're right that the red ones are faster, but the black ones are fun too, and may not attract...

    Window Regulator Advice

Don't remove the window glass entirely! You can take the regulator out with the window at the top, or part way down to line up the forward of the two bolts holding the glass with a hole in the door panel. Put a horizontal strip of packing tape on the exterior of the window, half on the glass &...

Save another pound: Ultra lightweight AntiGravity battery mount (or other LiFePO4)

I thought that I had accounted for the 90-96 battery tray differences, but I wanted to double check. I checked on a 95 with an original 90-96 battery tray. It works perfectly. From the earlier pictures, it appeared that the J-rods would not be long enough to reach the original battery tray...
