Details
After nearly 14 years of ownership, I’m letting go of the dream car I first saw when I was 11 years old. This has been a year of personal change for me, and life goes on – I’m hoping to find a new owner that will get as much enjoyment and memories out of this car as I have. I’m OCD in nature and I’ve spared no expense in the maintenance and upkeep of this NSX – a 3-inch binder that includes complete records during my entire ownership will go with the vehicle. Carl McClellan has serviced this vehicle for more than a decade and can vouch for the vehicle and answer any questions.
Maintenance Highlights
• Meticulously maintained: full 3-inch binder of all records/purchases/receipts since my ownership beginning March 2005 (daily driver 2005-2011, weekend driver 2012-2018)
• Maintenance performed by Carl McClellan in Houston (well known and regarded certified NSX tech – formerly Sterling McCall Acura, now at C&M Honda in Stafford, TX) (available as reference if needed)
• 90K mile maintenance (including timing belt, water pump, belts, spark plugs) (completed January 2018 at 132,373 miles)
• New O2 sensor, thermostat, AC compressor clutch (summer 2018 at ~133,XXX miles)
• Engine out maintenance (machined heads, rethread head bolt holes, oil change, coolant change) (November 2018 at 133,954 miles)
• Alignment performed by Southwest Alignment in Houston (12/11/18 at 134,091 miles)
• New OEM battery, replace VTEC gaskets, reseal and repack CV boots, tighten/reinstall WW front lip spoiler and passenger side scoop (6/26/19 at 134,306 miles)
• Oil changes every 3K miles or every year (Mobil 1 synthetic)
• Other common problems already addressed: CCU repair (by NSX Prime member BrianK), trunk struts, window and mirror switches
Other Comments
• Wings West front lip spoiler has chips and scratches
• AC blows cold (a must for Houston), both side windows operate smoothly
• Exhaust (refined sound, does not drone) is not particularly loud as this was my daily driver for several years
• Never tracked, drives absolutely smoothly given recent engine maintenance - can be confident in reliability
• Upgraded headlights are a bright white
• Washed and detailed regularly (including CQuartz Finest treatment)
