Thanks for the info! I didn’t realize you could get it from the key. 2 of my keys have the number, but one doesn’t. Just to be sure, the 4 digit number on my key that I partially obscured is correct. Right?

I want to order a monel key, but I’m not sure how to access the number on the trunk key cylinder. Can someone lead me to a diagram or tell me how to do it?

I didn’t find any markings on the new case. Maybe there is one somewhere, but I couldn’t see it. The original number is on the part of the case that doesn’t have to be replaced.

It’s interesting. The new one does seem to have any number on it from me peeking down, but it’s shinier. You may be right that some people could question the repair, but if they wouldn’t accept repair receipts and how it looks, I would probably not want to deal with them anyway.
