    Mechanic/Service Recommendation in Atlanta?

Mine has a little over 80k. It's a '96 so it was in need of the major 90k service because of age as opposed to miles. I'll be glad to address any specific questions if you want to PM me. Houston

    Mechanic/Service Recommendation in Atlanta?

I did use OPM for the 90k service / timing belt / water pump. They did good work at a fair price, and even arranged for me to pick up the car on a Saturday when they are not normally open.

Anyone a lawyer out there? need some quick advice...

I'm a lawyer in Georgia -- California laws may vary substantially. A matter of a bad check is both a criminal matter and a civil matter. The police often chose not to prosecute such cases becase they have "bigger" crimes before them. Anyone who has been given a bad check has the option of...

    Nikon D200

Gus, Compared to the D70/s, the viewfinder is a strong step forward. I have not used a D2X so cannot compare. The D70 gave me the impression of looking through a tunnel -- the D200 does not. While I felt the move from the D100 to the D70 was essentially lateral, the D200 feels more robust...

    Nikon D200

My D200 arrived yesterday and I've been playing with it for a few hours. It's a definite step-up from the D70/D70s. I'll be glad to answer any questions.

    Nikon D200

Seems that it hasn't hit the USA yet. Check out www.dpreview.com, look under forums on the left of the page, and scroll down to "D1/D2/D100/D200" where you will find many postings about the D200. There's a link to a Japanese review of a production model and many links to pre-production...

    Canon Digital SLR Recommendations

Get the body with the most flexibility. I shoot with Nikon (D100, D70 and D200 on order) and have agonized over similar decisions. From what I've read of Canon, the Rebel is missing several features that you may want later. I've used a 20D and found it to be a great camera. My gut feel is...

What happened to high mile club?

Same questions have been on my mind -- my '96 has 82k and is running without any problems. I'm wondering whether there are any recurrent complaints from those at 90k or 120k, etc.

    Another eBay funny

Modernceo, The "overseas and need to sell quickly" is so funny and typical a scam I wonder who falls for it. As you know, once the scammer has your information they request you send cash via Western Union -- sometimes they only request a "down payment" to prove your interest. I've often told...

    Another eBay funny

I emailed the guy just for fun. Here's the text of his reply: Hello, I'm glad you are interested in the car.My name is David Sanders, first I want you to know that for the moment I'm in England for a special reason, my cousin just died in a tragic accident and my real duty is to help his wife...

If memory serves, it's the clock fuse in the front compartment to the left of the spare tire.

    help -engine light

Mine came on recently on my 96. Tried the paper clip trick and couldn't make heads or tails of the blinks so I took it in and found it was an O2 sensor. I mention this because the O2 sensor (if that's what your is) may be covered under a technical bulletin extending warranty for 14 years /...

TCS light on and O2 sensor bad---

Great information as I have an 02 sensor out now. nsx2tall -- did your dealer tell you an official name of the warranty or a reference number? I expect a lot of blank stares when I go to my dealer and want to have as much information as possible. NorCalWhite -- same question. Do you have the...
