i CANNOT for the life of me manage the stupid c clip on the hinge pin. got some help getting it off, replaced everything and now i need to get the c clip...
update: grabbed a blueprinted 5spd from SoS and their sport 275 clutch and had it dropped in. car feels much better - apparently i'd never driven an nsx with a fully functional transmission. yay!
thanks folks. i have bounced around the idea of getting rid of the car a few times and so this was a good opportunity to take stock again. like every other time i've thought about it, i still can't think of another car i'd rather daily drive for anything near this price. i'll end up getting it...

I daily drive my 92 5 speed in NorCal Bay Area traffic. It’s not as nice as my wife’s car’s radar stop and go cruise, sure, but when the traffic opens up for a half mile and I can drop it into second gear and goose it it’s TOTALLY worth it.
In a pinch if the car goes down I can bicycle to work...
i think i had a similar issue - turned out it was the solders on my main relay giving out. when it happened to me, i reached around behind the seat and gave the main relay a few hard punches, and it knocked something back into alignment. car started fine after that.
