Recently moved to the big island and brought the car with me. Found out if your registration is current and not set to expire for a while, you can get a permit for the current plates/tags until they expire. - Chris

I'm guessing 40-45 min, give or take. The google machine says it is about 50 miles from the hotel to Terrell. Plenty of time to get the cars warmed up. :) - Chris
