WTB: First gen NSX, need not be complete!

Looking for an early gen NSX. Need something with a good tub and a title (salvage is fine). Prefer something closer to complete, particularly the interior and most or all body panels and suspension subframes. Do not need drivetrain. Don't really care what mileage it's showing. Complete...

How good is the NSX? really.

I think Billy has proven the NSX is as good as you want it to be. You sound like you are worried about an "investment" in something that may not make sense down the road. If you love the NSX and enjoy driving it, then your "investment" is safe, as long as you realize NO race car is an...

How good is the NSX? really.

I started out racing wheel to wheel in SM. I've had some good finishes, and in 2005 me and my team won the 13 hour endurance race at VIR in SM. Then I got the bug and wanted to win overall. Since then, the field has had some pretty fast cars enter, but the overall winner is usually something...

the stubborn quest to autocross an nsx, on the national stage

Yeah, the Spyder was strut based, so as long as you weren't touching you didn't have to worry about it doing it at some other location. It can't (at least not with that particular geometry). I forgot you've got that nice thing called camber gain. :) --Donnie

the stubborn quest to autocross an nsx, on the national stage

5mm of clearance? That's infinite! My old CS Toyota Spyder had less than a credit card on the front struts and 225 A6's. :D Good luck. I'm rooting for you. --Donnie

Anyone race an NSX in IT or showroom stock?

Thanks, but I'm going to resist temptation entirely. Your car is something I'd be interested in otherwise, though. Silverstone is the yum. Should have the gearbox back in my Cayman (430HP and lots of other mods), so that will satisfy my street speed needs. Been without it for a few months...

Nevermind on the question about the for-sale price. Found it in the classifieds. --Donnie

Anyone race an NSX in IT or showroom stock?

I'm building an ITE NSX now as a long endurance car. Unsure about a few things, but here's the general idea: 1991 salvage title car, tub in great shape NA2 ABS upgrade ~300HP engine build, normally aspirated, ECU undecided 5sp gearbox with JDM gears, LSD upgrade cage sidemount seat sliders...
