Hello. Im in Redondo Beach. I have a 1999 NSX. I wanted to ask you, what can you tell me about your circumstances with your electric rack and pinion steering unit. I have the metal to metal screeching noise. I was driving to Las Vegas and I suspect truck retread rubber went up under my car and did damage. I stopped in Baker to get gas and the steering wasn't right. This screeching metal noise that you mention in your forum post is eerily similar to mine. Anything guidance you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I suppose the normal questions would be

1. Did you discover what caused the noise?
2. What did you decide in terms of fixing the problem.
3. Can I get away with spending minimal money to restore the steering to original status?
