Clicking remains :-(
Sorry to have gone silent so long. Replaced a couple of components with no luck yet. Certainly seems heat sensitive - much worse when engine and/outdoor weather is hot. Can pretty much go all winter without hearing it much. Do you have the part number for the voltage...
Rob, Welcome. You will find it's a group and a car like no other. You won't want to be without either of them and the more time you spend with them the more you come to appreciate them.
Certainly didn't intend to drive in the snow - had I not had an appointment for the NSX would have taken another car that weekend. Good to know that you can "skate by" if you have to. Also found that putting a yard sprinkler under the car got salt and grime off pretty fast.
Welcome to the yellow club. From the Gamecock plate I thought you might be joining me here in SC. Tell us a little more about the car and its story. My guess is Santa would have driven a yellow sleigh had that option been available.
And sometimes snow comes out of no-where and finds you. This is just north of Atlanta last Friday. No snow forecasted till I was already on the road (3 hour trip) for a scheduled check up. Ended up being 4-6 inches of snow and made driving a real mess. My thanks to Eiffel's Place for getting me...
This has been a great thread. Very helpful! Wanted to see if any of you have experience running Bilsteins with Swift springs. I'm looking for a set up that's comfortable on the street, capable during occasional track or X-cross events, not as high as OEM, and not dropped by 1.5". I'm in a '98...
Hate to see you let it go as it was a twin to mine (and practically in my backyard). Wishing you the best with the sale and with your new chapter without her.
Great input. Thank you. In the past I had a poor connection on a cable between my alternator (have a CTSC so they had to pigtail the alternator cable to extend it since it now runs backward) and the fuse box headed to the battery. Did an "emergency roadside repair - wonder now if that could be...
Thanks for the response. Could find nothing on Prime or Facebook with the part number. Found something on eBay with same part number and that was what they called the part "Pulser Engine control unit". Can not find any other info anywhere. Posted a video on NSX Facebook Owners Group (Holly...
Emac - you may also want to talk with Eiffel Chin at Eifels Place just north of Atlanta. Maybe a fit farther but he's really good with NSXs and very trustworthy. I drove over from AIKEN after I bought mine because of his reputation and was not disappointed.
Have this awful clicking (sounds like relay chatter) from behind the drivers seat. I've tried to isolate it and think it is coming from part 39985SLO951 which is listed as the NSX Pulser Engine Control Unit. It's on the back wall between and behind the TCS and the FPRU (car has a CTSC). Clicking...
Congrats from another new owner. If you think you love it now - give it a few weeks. You'll love it even more. I truly believe you know it when it's YOUR car - all the ones you missed just fade out of memory. Enjoy!!
Such a good time, so many people to thank. Having only had the car for a couple of months and only seeing one or two NSXs in the wild, it was somewhere between overwhelming and nirvana to see 30 at one time. The group made me feel right at home, even though I had just met them. Where else do...
