    WTB: Manual No Accident NA1/NA2

VR4ownzU, send me a pm if you're still looking for a car at a REASONABLE price.

Chicago - Brunch at Port Edward Restaurant - July 10th

Unfortunately, I'm probably "out" on this. Planning a trip to California and this is in conflict. This has always been a good event. If things should change, I'll be there.

2022 Annual Lake Geneva meet and drive - Sunday, May 1st

Many thanks to Paul for working on this! I'll do my best to attend this fun event and cast my vote for the restaurant. Lake Geneva Inn?

    NY passes aftermarket muffler ban.

I have no problem with people making minor mods on their exhaust systems to give the car a little bit of a "throaty growl", but some people think that if a little is good, then a LOT must better and turn their cars into a complete nuisance. No, junior, just because you can put a coffee-can...

Will you ever sell your NSX?

Of course I'll sell it. It's just a matter of time, and what drives that question is how easily can I maintain the car, i.e. have someone qualified work on it and get parts. I'd like to hang onto it for a while longer, but I've also wanted to own a Porsche since long before the minds at...

    Car Cover recommendations?

I've bought 2 covers from SOS, one for the NSX, one for the S2000. They are both of high quality, fit well, and reasonably priced. I would't hesitate to buy another from them.

    Air Conditioning Woes

I wish that I lived closer to you! I'd bring it by as soon as you could fit me into your schedule! FWIW, the system has been changed from the original to the 134a. Before the recent work, I had a different dealership diagnose it and said it was the evaporator as well, but I'm open to other...

    Air Conditioning Woes

Paul Brylek is a friend of mine, and the "go-to" guy whom we (as well as many others in the Chicago area) use is John Vasos up in Milwaukee. And, as I mentioned, it was John recently who basically echoed your comments about performing a trade off analysis. I really would like to have the a/c...

    Air Conditioning Woes

Old Guy, I've read your posts on Prime for a long time and value what you say. It's tempting to try it myself, but I honestly have neither the patience nor the garage to try this. I guess that, unless I learn of someone who lives near Chicago who has the credibility/qualifications/experience...

    Air Conditioning Woes

Honcho, that's great information and were I a competent mechanic I might follow your advice. The extent of my experience in working on my car is to pull and replace the radio, and (with help) swap the exhaust, replace the window regulators, and change the oil. The thought of trying to pull the...

    Air Conditioning Woes

pbassjo, I'm in a suburb of Chicago. You would THINK that there would be no shortage of good NSX shops around here...and you would be wrong. NSX_n00b, I share many of your thoughts. A couple of weeks ago I briefly discussed this issue with John Vasos, arguably the top NSX tech in the Midwest...

    NSX Camper with Trailer

That trailer is a complete waste of an NSX. Better to be used as a parts car than a trailer. He probably tracks his Winnebago.

    Air Conditioning Woes

I'm putting this under "General Discussion" to hopefully reach the most people. My '92's air conditioning doesn't blow cold at all. Took it in to a dealer...they did the dye test and said that it was leaking around the compressor. $1980 later I received the car...it is still not blowing cold...

Can I afford an NSX? / Is it practical for me?

I would NOT use an NSX as a daily driver...it's too impractical. And I wouldn't park it outside in the elements, either.

    Chicago/Southeastern Wisconsin Group Events, 2021

Everyone, one more reminder. Andy will not be attending the picnic tomorrow, so if you plan on grilling, please ensure that you bring your own charcoal!
