Thanks for the input. The problem is that the R12 equipment is somewhat specialized and not very common. Leith doesn't have it and they haven't been successful trying the conversion to R134. So, an independent shop will likely be the best bet. I'm hoping to hear from someone with a good...
Any suggestions for a place to get my '91 AC system repaired? I'm told conversion to R134 is not typically successful in the NSX so it looks like it's best to stick with the R12 refridgerant. Or, if you have had success in converting, where did you have it done?
I pulled up behind a Corolla at a stop light a few weeks back in my '91 daily driver. We both were waiting for the traffic to clear so we could turn right. I happen to notice the young woman driving the Corolla was talking on the cell phone. The traffic cleared and she wasn't moving so I looked...
Any opinions on the DC Sports exhaust? I've done a search but can't find much about it. I'm looking for something that is on the quiet side but still has performance, weight, and appearance advantages over the stock system.
Any input would be appreciated.

A real life example: driving home Sat night, a possum ran in front of me with no time to swerve. When I got home, I checked and found that the tow hook cover was hanging loose. A closer look revealed two all-the-way-through cracks in the lower cowling on either side of where the cover fits. He...
My problem wasn't with the battery posts, it was with the strap-type connectors on the battery cables. They had stretched and were no longer tight on the post. I had put in a new battery and couldn't get them tight. I got by for a while by wrapping copper tape around the posts but that...
Have you had the problem with the battery wire connectors stretching so that they no longer fit tightly on the battery posts? Apparently it's a common problem even for a car such as the NSX. I've been dealing with it for a while. You can be driving along and the car just shuts down and then...
Thanks to John for organizing and Steve and Petra for hosting. It was great (and informative) to meet the "local" owners. Looking forward to future interactions with you guys.
I've never seen so many NSX's at one time!
I just had the Goodyear GS D3s installed. They are great. The 205/45-16 size is no longer available so I put on 215/40-16 instead. That size seems to work well, at least on my upsized 91.
I got the 215/40-16 and 245/40-17 GS D3s and had them installed. Everything feels great (I realize that some of that is just the "new tire" effect) and the 215/40's on the front look good too. Steering response is better than with the previously installed Yoko ES100s. So, my conclusion is that...
