When it comes to the implementation technique, how does K Tuner's solution compare to SOS JB4? Is it more like a true flash where the parameters are updated and there's no need to keep a device installed in the car?

No valves on the muffler. Got in touch with the previous owner who clarified.

Catted downpipes. Everything was installed by the previous owner so I'm not sure about the muffler valves. The noise seems to increase going from Quiet to Sport to Sport+ so maybe the valves are there? Car was in Sport mode while on the driveway and you can hear it go into EV mode for a bit...

For what it's worth, my issue seems to have resolved itself. Codes last appeared back in January. No codes over the last 5 months, 472 miles, and a few tanks of gas. Maybe temperature is a factor? I guess I'll find out next winter. Here's a video of what it sounds like:
