The problem with some pics from the old system is that we had two platforms.
1. You could directly attach a photo to a message. Those should have all been correctly imported to the new forum system.
2. You could upload to a third-party plugin, Photopost, which was integrated with the vBulletin...
I hope to import everyone's ratings from the old system, but there are some technical hurdles. Not the least of which is that the site is now hosted, so I don't have any direct server or db access. I have a couple of ideas, but they'll take some time to test.

The site supports "flexible" SSL which used to be a reasonable compromise for user-generated content sites, but browsers are getting stricter.
You can avoid the problem you're seeing by simply going to http://www.nsxprime.com/forum instead of https. Then it should just display the broken lock...
Some countries are blocked because they have a lot of malicious traffic and very little actual NSX owner traffic. If you want to post or e-mail me the country you are in I can probably unblock it for you. Sorry for the trouble!
