Cody, for the love of god, please keep us posted as to breaking the 1XXXrwhp barrier on a MUSTANG dyno... what a milestone that would be in a 2700lb NSX! God bless...
~ Kevin
OMG, what a moron...rofl!!! I'm sure he gave you guys a good chuckle. You should use his story on that show "world's most stupid criminals" lol. He did so many things wrong I wouldn't know where to begin...a textbook example of what NOT to do if ever attempting to file a false claim... (or...
I know ten people who did the exact same thing and DIDN'T.
Ain't rocket science people...
The 4 commandments of filing a track claim to your regular ins. policy;
1) wipe off all window/track numbers, taped off lights, paint off a tracks retaining wall (if u hit that), etc. Track...
Very impressive* ...SO CLOSE to the benchmark 1000rw mark Cody. That would be SUCH a bragging right for the lightweight all-aluminum NSX. With mid engine placement and ~2700lb street weights readily achievable that kind of power would give nothing short of the 1980's GTP car level acceleration...
Cody, when you say "the most conservative dyno we could find" I'm assuming you dyno'ed the 920rwhp on a mustang dyno?? :)
Also, what will be required to prevent the stock 5-speed trans from grenading at those power levels?
Congrats on the numbers that rocketship put down* I'd bet that sucker...
Absolutely not* Its always read at the motor. This is common knowledge. (not saying the companies are always accurate thou lol ;) )
Again, any gains above and beyond that may come from the additional efficiences of the motor or from the cooling effect from having F/I...
Yes, but one disadvantage is it can't *advance* timing...just retard it... (Unlike like a full stand alone EMS)
Also it doesn't have a speed or gear based boost control feature which comes in handy in higher HP applications...
There is an obvious communication issue here.... For the love of god, and the last time!!! I/H/E + 70 shot of NOS ACTIVE!!! she's making close to 370 flywheel hp...
Why do you keep saying N/A?? I'm INCLUDING the shot 70 of nitrous in the total of 370hp. I/H/E on a 3.0L *without* the...
Yes, 370 total with the mods and the 70 shot of NOS active* And I respectfully disagree on the power estimate thing, i've drag raced countless NSX's enough times to know where they're at on differing power levels. At 2775lbs, he's pushing approx. 370 at the motor (TOPS) which after driveline...
 Please re-read my post... i stated I/H/E + 70shot "70 shot" means a 70 shot of nitrous.. ;)
Also, 370BHP (or flywheel HP) is enought to power a 2775lb NSX to a 114mph trapspeed in the 1/4. Remember than nitrous boost is very torquey as its instantenous and not related to rpm* 370BHP...
It always refers to approx how much power increase you'll see at the motor* However, in certain cases, such as turbocharged applications the additional cooling effect NOS inj. has on the intake charge results in a larger power gain than advertised and that the nitrous itself would net.
His NSX...
