    Anyone know this car? JH4NA21683T000086

Previous owner here: I bought the spare used (obviously) for $50 since the car didn't come with a spare. I tried to find someone who carried a replacement tire, but the dealer wanted almost $1k for it. The shift knob was a bit worn when I bought it- don't know why it was that worn. I don't...

Monthly bump. Pohanka liked the car and was offering in the $40-45k range. Edit: VIN is missing a zero; here's the correct one: JH4NA21683T000086

    Emissions Fairfax area

I just get mine done at Pohanka, since it's a fixed price. If you're doing state inspection too, they do it for that one for free.

Monthly Bump. Edit: Local shops that have seen the car in the last 2 years include Pohanka Acura, P-Tuning in Manassas (Transmission/tune-ups/repairs- see above), and Road Race Technology (tech inspection) in Sterling.

Project Mu v. Carbotech v. Hawk?

I know this thread is old, but I'll comment to for others looking. I have the Carbotech 1521 pads (Bobcat replacement), and my experience is similar to MJK's, with the exception of dust. They don't dust nearly as much as BMW pads. They also state that they are not for track duty- you have to...

    Who wants to drive twisties?

Jefferson is great for a first time track day (I did it last year). I was topping off 3rd at 105 mph on both straights- could have gone more some times, but I was usually traffic limited and I was focusing on the line, not pure acceleration (limited shifting down to 2nd, so I was usually at...

What to do in Aspen and Durango

I second both of these- they are very memorable outings. Mesa Verde does require some hiking/ladder climbing to do the best tours.

Snap Ring failed -where 2 go???

No, the engine doesn't need to be removed. I had PTuning remove my transmission and ship to SOS when my transmission needed to be rebuilt (blown 2nd gear), which was far cheaper than replacing the transmission.

What to do when you think you're having a bad day.

Often, if a wild animal, such as a bear or mountain lion, attacks or kills a human, they are often put down since the likelihood of them attacking another human is much higher than the average animal. They look at humans as a source of food, rather than something to be afraid of. I have no...
