    Snapped Axle Help?

Being the part is new it may be better, but you never really know about aftermarket parts until you inspect them. The axles are very strong and are made to withstand extreme torques. It should be fine.

    Snapped Axle Help?

I get email updates from my posts and I usually respond to them, but I sorta lost interest in cars and have started touring on motorcycles. Most of the parts from O'Reilly are of decent quality (better than most of the chain stores - IMO). I use their parts for my daily drivers, but mostly stick...

    Snapped Axle Help?

That axle is doing just fine, and I punish it when I get the chance.

Someone please post pic of VSS location

Speedmaster - Yes, you're right. The aftermarket part has worked well now for a long time and through several track days.

Any way to bypass window control unit on a 1991?

Kaz, I don't know anyone that has posted such explicit replies to posts as you, they're great! I saw that unit but never was directed to test it. Mine has "An eternal sports mind for you" written on it. Thanks Again -

Any way to bypass window control unit on a 1991?

Kaz, what does the integrated control unit look like? I never came across it in any of my tests and I had to remove that fuse panel to get to G201.

Any way to bypass window control unit on a 1991?

Kaz - THX for the excellent test procedures. I did perform all the tests you mention and found all to test OK. I did not know about the rear defogger being affected by the control unit though. I should have mentioned that the car has an aftermarket alarm (it was on the car when I bought it)...

Any way to bypass window control unit on a 1991?

I downloaded the WIKI service manual here and it has many tests for this problem. I have performed them all and can't seem to locate any failure. Pretty frustrating and inconclusive so far (just getting to G201 is a PITA). The manual states that if all tests on the control unit come back OK...

    SRS Failure

I agree. I took the fuse out until I can get to fixing it. I have to get my windows operating first - UHG!

    SRS Failure

Mine just started blowing fuses last week. A 15amp fuse will hold but I'd like to get it repaired. Brian, will you give us a ballpark figure on your price for repair? THX.

Any way to bypass window control unit on a 1991?

Yes, but it's my understanding that that switch only locks the passenger window. Both of my windows don't operate.
