This topic deserves a "Project Farm" style comparison test of the various window lubricants. :) I'm planning on going through the windows and doors again this Winter. IMHO, I'd gladly suffer a fractionally slower window if it means I can delay the window adjustment process for as long as possible.

Loosen the alternator bolts, adjust the alternator belt tensioner, remove crank bolt, remove pulley, install shield..and then put everything back together.
