  • neuronbob--thanks for reply, I agree with you, at this *just about there* stage of LED headlights I most likely will go with HID mainly because of the beam pattern. Read so many comments about scattered beam patterns on LED but none on HID. The number of nights we drive on NSX ,longevity of any type of bulbs setup is not as important as the beam pattern for safety concern.
@robert yeung, I apologize for the delay in reply. I considered the Morimoto LEDs. The kit is $120 or so and other than requiring you to cut a hole in the cup the bulbs go in, to allow for space, is essentially plug and play. Folks who have used that kit are happy with the light output.

However, I ended up with whiteNSXs' HID kit after a lot of research over a couple of months. I went with it because the light output is more than adequate for me, and the kit has been vouched for on this forum for 13 years. People report very long lasting use with the setup. The whiteNSXs kit is also completely plug and play--you just take your old bulbs out, put the new ones in, attach ballast using OEM wiring, and done! Took me about 90 minutes total, but if I had to do it over again it could be done in 15 minutes.

I may eventually change to LEDs, but I simply wanted to do the tried and true first even though it cost more.
