I'll second Dr. Color Chip. I was skeptical at first but after reading several positive reviews I thought I'd give it a try. The color matching is bang on and the instructions for applying the paint is straight forward. I touched up my entire front bumper as well as a couple of chips on the...
Hey Rich (Passline). I've finally got some time to write - the twins have been keeping me busy ever since we got home!!
I just wanted to express my gratitude and heartfelt thanks for letting me park my NSX in your garage, driving us to the ferry and picking us up. Our trip to New York City was...
I changed all my hoses this year and used Larry's advice in tackling the oil cooler hoses. It took a while, but was very doable and i consider myself a novice. Thanks Larry!!
Removing the CV boot shield is a must, in my opinion (this in fact was the hardest part for me as I found one...
This video really speaks to how good the NSX is. Even after 20 years, this car still impresses people. It was interesting to hear how much he hated the handling and shifting of the Lexus - I thought it would have been better than that. Loved it when he praised the handling, engine and feel of...
Agree. Honda's A/C systems tend to be on the weak side compared to other auto manufacturer's. In this 35 celsius weather, my Honda Odyssey's A/C system is cold while driving, but at idle it's not as cool - never mind my NSX.
In my experience, GM vehicles have the coldest A/Cs.
I'm also experiencing the same issue. Blows cold when driving on the highway, but struggles to stay cool in stop and go traffic.
Ysoslow, are you saying your problem was solved by changing the ground wires? Do you know how this solved the problem? Which wires exactly are you referring to?
Took me 2 days working from 9-5. Longer than most here, but like I said I took my time.
I got the kit from Dali racing, whom by the way I thought provided great service and were very responsive to my emails.
Car on stands being drained of coolant:
Draining coolant from middle pipes:
Draining coolant from front and rear engine banks:
Middle hose removal (these were tough):
Another shot of the middle:
Front hose removal. The small hoses going into the heater core were a bit tricky too...
I know this has been discussed previously on Prime, but I thought I would provide some feedback / insight into my adventures of replacing all 22 coolant hoses on my 1991 NSX in case anyone is considering doing this job in the near future. The car had the originals and thus were over 20 years...
I'm replacing the coolant hoses, thus need to get underneath the car to remove the ones running to the engine and front of the car. I'll also have to lift the right side to get to the oil cooler. Would this job be easier if the car was on 4 stands?
