Stopping distances are not a great way to measure sports car brakes. That's more a function of tires, suspension, and weight distribution. The ability to maintain performance with repeated abuse is a bigget concern. If you can invke your ABS, your brakes are able to stop you as fast as your...
I didn't once say that I didn't like the NSX. The NSX is the best car I've ever owned, and much better than anything else I can afford.
but to insinuate that I like Audis and would drive an automatic in the same post is just plainly hurtful.
LOL at all of this. I love the NSX.
I'm working through a 'devil you know' vs. 'devil you don't know' dilema.
Also, IMS seems extremely rare - no data from any reliable source shows more than a handful of problems. Every thread related is built up massively by suppliers of aftermarket...
Re: Corvette Owner ENVYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I'm about to have my 4th car designed by the same guy. NSX, C5 Z06, Boxster ansd now 996. I think I'll take tye P4/5 next time!
In 2006, I sold my 1995 NSX for a 2004 50th Anniversary Boxster S. The Boxster was sold six mos. later for a Z06 (04) that I kept until recently. Now it looks like I'll have an '03 996 C2 Cab (3300 miles), but not strictly by my own choosing.
I'm not complaining, but I really miss the NSX...
I had a Taitec GTLW and it was a great sounding exhaust. You won't be able to feel the difference between two different exhausts in the seat of your pants. You won't be able to feel the difference between stock and ARC Ti in the seat of your pants, so is $3k worth it?
I ran a 13.9 second 1/4 mile my stock (and 10 yr old at the time) '95 NSX. That's exactly the time that an '01 Z28 should do. I can't see you smoking a Z28 unless it was in pretty bad shape (which is entirely possible).
They're not really comparable cars. On a road course, there's no comparison.
You're not going to find an exhaust that will make the NSX's engine sound like a Ferrari engine. The flat-plane crankshaft and extra set of cylinders in the Ferrari's V8 will pretty much guarantee a different exhaust note. I had a Tiatec GT-LW on my NSX and it was a great sound, but it was...
