I've found that the longevity of your car goes hand in hand with how you drive it. I've owned 6-7 Nsx's and far from throwing $ away on gratuitous mods, I've never had a serious issue. That said you'll hear horror stories about even corollas if not well maintained and beaten on by previous owners.
Scratch that. I was referring to the block but just read they are aluminum. In any case my point is they're much cheaper to rebuild than the c30's should they overheat
Lets not forget that the j-series engines aren't aluminum and therefore wouldn't warp if overheated (6k repair) and the 6 speed clutch isn't $2k to replace. That's extra bread going towards forced induction. I'm for it.
