I've done it a bunch of times on my 1995 NSX. There are two bleed points up front and two in the engine compartment, and I never had to remove anything to get to them.
Considering how important coolant is and how it might need attention while on the road and not near a dealer, it would be nice if the basic information were given to all owners. My first mid-engine car (1985 Toyota MR2) had coolant bleeding instructions in the owner's manual that came with the car.
If it's any consolation, it's not just 2nd gen owners who get to experience this. I've been to a couple Acura dealers where the service advisor was clueless about my NA1.
There's a lot of misconception on the effect of rotating mass on acceleration. If you can post an equivalent (e.g., 50 pounds in the rotors is equivalent to x pounds of non-rotating mass), that tells the reader more than saying it's 'significant'. If you understand the physics, it's easy to...
Thanks for this! It helped me find the Wikipedia page on car model changes at https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/モデルチェンジ (which I read via Google translate).
Fuel cells aren't efficient enough yet. Both ends of the process (generating hydrogen, and getting energy out of it with a fuel cell) are inefficient. About 30% of the energy put into making the hydrogen ends up powering the car and 70% is wasted. Research may improve that but there isn't...
This site should use HTTPS. It's been good practice for some time on the web; to not support it in 2021 is embarrassing. My personal web sites have HTTPS and I'm on shared hosting that doesn't cost a lot.
In 2016, I got a PM here on Prime with the title "New Owners Forum" asking me if I had the new NSX on order. Unstated (but, I think, clear enough) was the question of what I was doing in a forum for a car I'm not buying. I responded by politely saying I didn't have a second-gen NSX on order...
docjohn was responding to a post in this thread from August 2019 that said "A V8 is coming for 2021. Mark this post." It's been deleted. Anyone remember who posted it? I just saved the one line of text, not the full posting.
Welcome to the forums GWPorsche!
If you want Nord Gray Metallic, consider that it might still be an option for a new car. Honda has made at least one NSX in Nord Gray on special order even after the color was officially discontinued, although I don't know if they still will.
I welcome everyone's opinions here.
Were I a manufacturer I'd be interested in the opinions of those who bought my cars and also the opinions of those who considered my cars but bought someone else's instead. You can learn from both.
