I lived near Tachikawa in west Tokyo, but I was downtown quite often. I purchased an NSX from MAC Full House in Adachi and drove it locally for about 2 years before I moved back to the US and took it with me. Was pretty surreal.

Yeah I'll be honest I'm not an expert on the matter, but I've seen some of these guys do wonders on paint cutting into the clear and sometimes the base coats to remove the UV damaged layer. Supposedly the coats on the NSX are fairly deep as well.

Yeah I suppose on this car you're really just digging into the clear, but I've seen some substantially "pink" NSXs turn back into their 1991 FR color.

Agreed. Several Zanardis with interesting stories. Really curious as to why they wrapped the top in black. I like black tops, but I didn't think "Zanardi" when I first saw the car in the ad until I dug into the particulars. Doesn't really look NFR to me either, too light. Maybe needs a paint...

FWIW, I just did this in a right hand drive NSX and it was slightly easier than the 1991 Acura FSM lets on though I did have a removable steering wheel. Pulled out the gauge cluster yesterday morning. Wasn't too tough to get out with the removable steering wheel, took maybe 30min. We'll see what BrianK has to say about the boards.

I just used an app that utilizes GPS to confirm. Civil GPS isn't mil spec accurate, but it can get you within a couple knots at 500+ knots groundspeed, so fairly accurate. RPM in gear is a good way to confirm too and it's how I had been driving the car when it's colder out until I could figure...
