NA3 evolution of the NA2 Type-R. MR. NA V12. Functional side scoops. Integrated wing. All aluminum. Fixed Xenon/LED headlights. Put some s2000'like LED tails, an RL'esque interior with nav, night vision, and all that tech package stuff standard. SH-AWD (for the standard model).
Type-R...
The seats might be reasonable enough for exotic light-weight carbon kevlar with alcantara covers (?). That supposedly includes power rails. Power? Really?
$650 for floor mats sounds a bit loco. The shift knob sounds twice as expensive as it should be (just get an FD2 Civic Type-R 6-speed...
Nah a V8 isn't enough. At most you're playing with the Vettes. V10 or V12 in an NSX-evolved MR chassis would have been something to wonder at and competing with the likes of the Ferrari and Porsche that were the NSX's original target!
The awkward opportunity of the NSX is just a symptom of a...
Not quite a sell out and I would prefer a real "NA3" NSX that was a further evolution of the NA1 and NA2. I would imagine my dream NA3 being an evolution of the NA2 with the vented hood from the NA2 NSX Type-R with CF hood, integrated CF spoiler (with the body lines lined up to it), MR with a...
Also, you'd be able to afford a team to install your own single or twin turbo monster. lol "Hello Factor X, I'd like you to make a custom setup for me..." lol
Damn... are there any larger hi res pics of these thing? I need new wallpaper for my desktop!
Hell yeah.
When you're tossing that kind of cash around, you BETTER already have something with at LEAST 12 cylinders for your 1/4 mile beast.
Sure as hell woudln't be a bad buy for the exclusivity for an NSX lover who that kind of cheddar to burn.
I can hope that Honda wins the Super GT title and THEN decides to make a ~$150k production version. For the brand prestige and all that. No way I'll be able to afford anything like that in the forseeable future.
That's awesome. I'm happy to see ANY continued development on the NSX, even if it's not meant for general consumption.
In the meantime I can hope this is the beginning of further evolution (and hopefully something the US might see, along with a powertrain and interior upgrade).
Exactly. I think one of the best things about the NSX is that it's been relatively unchanging. Honda simply needs a rear and interior facelift to go with the 2002 facelift... along with comparable engine upgrades (the Factor X turbo would be a good idea IMO... though CTSC seems the easiest...
Yup. Meh on Chebby.
NSX is still a good machine, but is in sore need of an engine and interior update to match the 2002 facelift. Interior could be done with "off the shelf" components ala TL and RL. Engine. 3.5L 350'ish HP should be pretty easy. Hopefully Honda will do it soon. Such...
