02 REAR! ALL SOLID COLOR or COMBINED W/ BLACK?

I HAVE A 02 REAR, BUT I'AM CONFUSED . I DON'E KNOW IF I SHOULD PAINT IT RED W/BLACK OR DO IT LIKE D'ECOSSE SOLID RED! I LIKE IT BOTH WAYS THE SAME, WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK LOOKS BETTER! I JUST WENT TO THE SAN DIEGO AUTO SHOW AND SAW A GREAY 2003 NSX AND THE REAR HAD THE GREY W/ BLACK! I SEE D'ECOSSE AND OTHERS THAT DO IT SOLID RED AND ALSO LOVE IT THAT WAY! OPINIONS PLEASE!! ""HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!:cool: :cool: :cool:

Seems to me that from your post, you answered your own question. You like it all red. That should be what you end up doing.

But if you still are asking, ;) I personally like it with the black trim.

I LIKE BOTH! BUT SOMEHOW THE ONE WITH BLACK I THINK LOOKS MUCH MORE CLEANER! DON'T KNOW! ALSO ANYONE KNOW OF A GOOD PLACE NEAR SAN DIEGO WHERE I CAN TAKE IT TO GET PAINTED! I ALSO WANT TO GET MARGA HILLS FRONT & SPATS THAT I ALRAEDY HAVE INSTALLED AND NOT MANY BODY SHOPS KNOW HOW TO. WHAT I WANT TO DO IS JUST GET THEM INSTALLED AND GET THE WHOLE CAR PAINTED RED AGAIN SO IT CAN ALL LOOK THE SAME ! THANK YOU FOR YOUR INFO!

Re: 02 REAR! ALL SOLID COLOR or COMBINED W/ BLACK?

Two tone is consistent with the looks of the 02 rear, so if you want the OEM look go for it. I personally think that having the mesh painted the same color as the body seems a bit odd and inconsistent with the rest of the color scheme on the car

I am biased, since I kept the OEM look with yellow and black on the 02 valence on my car.

I'll warn you, before NSXTASY has his way with you(I copied this from another post), and not from me.
There's a feature on your computer keyboard that you should become familiar with. It's called the "CAPS LOCK key" and it lets you type using big letters and little letters. That way, you can type with all big letters and people will know that YOU'RE TRYING TO SHOUT, and with both big and little letters the rest of the time when you're trying to speak normally. Here's a helpful diagram that will get you started:

ANYTIME!
you should not be so picky! i knoew the caps lock thing, but it seems that only in this website it is enforced! I DON'T SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY IT BUGS YOU! FOR ME IT IS JUST EASIER TO TYPE EVRYTHING AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT CAPS!! IF I WERE TO SHOUT I WOULD DO IT LIKE THIS!! HERE IS A SHOUT {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYBODY}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} I DON'T SEE IN WHAT WAY IT BUGS PEOPLE TO DO CAPS! PLEASE GIVE ME A REASON AND I WILL NOT USE CAPS! LET ME KNOW BUDDY!!

I' AM NOT TRYING TO SHOUT! IT IS JUST THAT PEOPLE HAVE BEEN USED TO THINKING THAT CAPS MEAN SHOUT! BUT NO THEY DO NOT! NEVER HAS THAT BEEN THE MEANING FOR CAPS, CAP DO NOT MEAN SHOUT! I TYPE WITH CAPS BUT FOR ME IT DOES NOT MEAN SHOUT! BESIDES I DO'T HAVE A REASON TO SHOUT TO ANYONE HERE ON THIS WEBSITE! EVERYONE IS VERY COOL HERE! I DO NOT INTEND TO SHOUT TO ANYONE! I DO APPRECIATE ALL THE INFO I GET HERE AND IF THERE IS ANY I CAN PROVIDE I WILL!! THANK YOU AND "HAPPY NEW YEAR"!!!!!

don't care for caps or no caps i will just go for no caps at all! i do need info on the rear valance and where here in San Diego i can get it painted the red ad black color and that they would do a good job! i can even take it to Los Angeles! i just want the best place where i can get my whole car painted! i'am gonna add the Marga Hills front and the side spats, so i just want to get the whole car repainted sicne it is a 95. i would rather get it all repainted! any help please! i have decided with your guys "(OPINIONS)" to go with the 2 tone Red with Black. besides that was my best choice! but now i need a, A+ place where i can get it all painted near San Diego or i can even take it to L.A.

thank you

S D NSX,

Is not just a matter of being picky about all caps or not. You just state that's it's easier for you to type that way. But, to be honest, it's been proven that the human eye/brain reads text much better with correct lower and upper case. As an example, try reading your own text, both all upper case and all lower case. With proper capitalization, readers of your post get a clearer understanding what each of your sentences try to express.

I'm sure you wanted to clearly and cleanly express your thoughts, and all caps makes it a bit diffucult to read. NSXPrime isn't the only forum that brings it up. I frequent other boards and I've seen established posters jump all over all-cap typists.

Anyways, I'll repeat....I like it with black trim. :D

No problem. :D

As for body shops, I'm currently looking for some right now to paint some parts and repair stuff. All the shops that I have currently visited only want to do OEM work (painting and installing). They don't want to mess with aftermarket parts, either fiberglass or polyurethane.

Thank you Randy, I have been doing the same, and either they tell me they do not know how to install them or they tell me that they do not know how to paint them! Especially the 2002 rear, they rather paint it solid Red because they do not know where the Black goes! So I'am looking for a Body Shop that can paint the whole Car! Thank You any any help would be appreciated I'am very new to this!! {{{{!!HAPPY NEW YEAR!!}}}}

If a body shop does not have the insight to look up on the internet the color scheme of the 02/03 rear valance, I'd stay away from them. furthermore, when I took my NSX to have the 02/03 rear valance to be painted, I just showed the guy the outline where the black portion was to be painted and he had no problem. It sounds like you have a communication problem with your body shop.

To make things easier, you can just look at a few pictures of the valance here on NSX Prime and print one out for the guy. It really shouldn't be as difficult as you and the body shop are making it out to be.

In my opinion, the OEM paint scheme looks better.

If the shop is saying they don't know where to paint the black part, couldn't you bring a picture to show them? It's not hard to imagine/visualize certain parts painted black, especially when it's right in front of your eyes.

It seems that out here you wouldn't have a problem finding a body shop that will do the work for you. Almost all of them will take any kind of job, how it turns out is another story! :D

Only the best will do, so keep looking(you to Randy :) )

I think you should do yours with the black!

p.s. I'm not so sure the black part is actually painted - just masked off & left raw maybe? (It's black as it comes)

D'Ecosse,
The balck part is painted, I looked at the car in the San Diego auto show and it was a very glossy black! I'am gonna go with the Red & Black. But now I have to fine a palce near San Diego where i can get my whole car repainted! Thank you for your opinions especialyy the Thread that really convinced me with those Pic's. There is an Awsome Red NSX with the Marga Hills Sides & the 2002 Rear in Black & Red! Thank you all you guys you have been very, very helpful! {{{{{{HAPPY NEW YEAR}}}}}

FURY NSX!
That Red NSX that belongs to Enzo, can you tell me what size wheels he has and also is it lowered or is it stock! I love the way it looks in that Picture that is on the thread! Where you can see the 2002 rear and the Marga Hills side spats! Also if you can tell me where in San Diego they installed his Spats and the 2002 Rear! I need a real good body shop to install mine and repaint my whole car!

Thank You
