I just got home from the last ever All Star Home Run Derby to ever be played in Yankee Stadium and I gotta say, it was pretty sick. Josh Hamilton is a machine, Ive never seen anyone hit a home run harder and farther. Im a huge fan of his and he was really my motivition for going! Just Crazy!

As many of you know, Im a sick Baseball fan and have alot of great memories in Yankee Stadium. World Series, Playoff's, Opening Days and just alot of bonding with my dad and brother. Im still wired, such a great time.

Hamilton put on a show- he's proven that he's a baseball stud. Too bad everyone will forget that Morneau won the derby.

In the 5 years that I lived in Manhattan- Yanks won 4 titles. Taking the train to the stadium and buying tickets from scalpers for a chance to sit amongst some of the craziest fans-> priceless.

So I don't know how it's scored, but how did Hamilton lose overall when he hit the most runs overall?

The final round is a stand alone event. In other words, your totals from previous rounds do not carry over.

Hamilton is a machine. Not only did he hit a grip of home runs... he hit a lot of absolute bombs!

The only person I've ever seen hit a ball harder was Bo Jackson.

I'm stoked for him and his family that he straightened himself out and has had this opportunity to come back but I wonder how great he could have been had he not gotten involved in drugs.

And Mike... even I am getting a little sorry to see Yankee stadium close. My wife and I have to head back to NYC for a cousin's wedding in Sept. We already saw one last game at Shea earlier this year so we're going to try and catch another game at Yankee Stadium.

I'm no Yankee fan (GO ANGELS but you can't be a baseball fan and not feel something about Yankee stadium.

Amazing performance! How was the sound of the ball in person coming off the bat compared to the other guys?

I went to my first Yankee game last year. It was quite the experience taking the train there. I think I liked the overall experience better than Fenway (but then again, I got beat up there!) but not as good as Wrigley. Having spent half my life in Chicago, Wrigley (bleachers) are my home.

WOO! WOO! <- Go Ronnie!

Insane, the swing looked very similar to everyone else's but the sound of the ball coming off the bat was different. The place went crazy, I think attendance was 55,000 and it was loud and a good time.

man you're so lucky to have been there. The sound of the bat was sooo solid. Numerous 500+ ft homers. His swings and stance looked very powerful.

And he made it look effortless:eek:

I am a HUGE baseball fan and LOVE the A's. Last night was a wonderful baseball drama. I enjoyed everything from the parade to the last out in the
15th inning.

Hamilton is a feel good story - GOOD FOR HIM!
