It's hard to believe, but a year ago today I signed the paperwork that made my dream a reality. What a sweeeeeeet ride it has been thus far.

I would have taken a drive and snapped some pictures of my NSX to commemorate this signficant day, but the weather didn't cooperate (the forecast was for mostly sunny...yeah, right!).

I feel like celebrating...must sneak away from work sometime this week and blast up the coast. Hmmm, can I make the round trip to Santa Barbara and back within my lunch hour?!?!?!

If you take the 101 you'll have to pass thru Camarillo. Maybe I can drive home from work and meet you on the way. I drove 150 miles yesterday with the t-top off, so a little more won't hurt(I don't think) John ;o

Hey, we missed you at the meet this Friday. It's probably good you didn't go, because it rained that evening on our beautiful NSXs.

Alex was not pleased.

I also found out where to get that HyperRev no. 32 issue and did this weekend in Little Tokyo. must have.
Congrats and on your 1 year anniversary. You should take it out for a drive down PCH and up to Malibu to commemorate the occasion. Just watch out for the all the cops.

My Mom got a ticket once there for going too slow. You know there's too many cops hanging around with nothing to do when you start seeing those kind of tickets.
But then, driving too slow probably won't be a problem for you.

Imagine the shame of getting one of those in an NSX.

Lud, you seriously hadn't started these message forums before March, 2000? Woah...then I must have been one of the first members! This forum has been one of the reasons I've gotten so much enjoyment from the whole NSXperience...so let's celebrate both events!

Ilya, I KNEW it would rain! Told ya. I was SO happy that it was sunny on Saturday. Gave my NSX a thorough cleaning (it needed it badly). I'm hoping it doesn't rain between home and work this morning...

...as for taking a drive, I might go ahead and head up to Malibu. Need to finish off a roll of film in my camera (only three shots left).

Lud created the FAQ site in July, 1997, and added the forums to the site last year.

I think you were one of the first.... I think I was testing it around Jan/Feb last year and officially opened it and linked it from the main page around Feb/Mar. I still have the software invoice which is dated Feb 2000 so it was right around this time.

As nsxtasy noted the FAQ first appeared in '97 (as a straight text document in the traditional usenet FAQ format).

I've only put 7,250 miles on mine...and it IS my daily driver. I've been working too hard...

Even then, I did go through one set of rear tires (OEM Bridgestones)

In the past ten years (and 47K miles), I've gone through eleven sets of rear tires. And seventeen sets of front brake pads.

Even though it has been only one year since the Forum originated, I feel as if I know most of you guys pretty well, although I do not post that much. I purchased my '91 silver NSX 14 months ago and I have been checking this forum every night since... I wish there were a few more NSX'ers up here in snowbound MA. It's been a lot of fun, and I've learned quite a bit about the NSX. Thanks, for making it happen!

Congratulations Eric on your one year anniversary. I'm glad you were quick enough to avoid that accident on Lincoln; that would have made your anniversary a nightmare.I'm hoping to meet all of you guys at the monthly dinners at NSX modified, but Thursdays are really tough, especially coming from the San Gabriel Valley. During that Friday meeting did it hail in Orange County? It sure did up in my area. I'm glad I wasn't driving my 3 week old car out in that weather! I guess, Eric, you drive your car in the rain. How does it handle and are you kinda scared when you do drive it in the rain? You know Southern Californians don't know how to drive in bad weather. I would think you would be paranoid about taking your car out in bad weather. I certainly am. Luckily I have another car I use as a daily driver so I won't have to subject my NSX to the rain. Well anyway, congrats again and I hope you have just as enjoyable second year of ownership as your first
