Ok yesterday I was driving and I let my Sunroof up.(Crack back part open) As I reach my destination I let it back down. BUT as I glance back at my love I noticed that one corner was still up. I open her back up and look inside and everything appears closed from the inside.
But the corner is still up on the outside. I push it in since I couldn't just leave it open. (Skeptical on the weather's condition) Heard a pop when I pushed it in. Sunroof doesn't go up or back at all now. Like it's jammed or something.

Should I pry it back and check the railings that it slides on?

I even tried checking the sunroof motor but if it was fried or dead it would still allow me to move the sunroof manually with a screw driver.

Any suggestions or ideas on the problem?

I would try the Merc forums but you this is the only forum that is actually put together neatly and you get a valid response 99% of the time.

Based on my highly unpleasant (and admittedly unrelated) Subaru moonroof experience, you are going to have to drop the headliner and then the moonroof assembly from the inside of the roof. I would strongly suggest checking the MB forums for a how-to with pics first and if there is a common flaw with these that causes this type of problem. Also try to find a parts car in the junkyard locally before you tackle it. I also found it gives a lot more room to drop it & get it out of the car to remove the psgr seat first. Good luck.

Lesson #1: Never push hard on something to make it close. The pop you heard could be anything, but I'm pretty sure it's FUBAR now. Don't try to pry it open or else you're going to have bent roof.

Look for an online service manual to help you figure out what you did.

Good luck.

Well sure enough I had no choice in that option. Cause sure enough it began to rain today and still is. So it was either possibly ruined sunroof or flooded interior. I think we can all safe to assume which one you would choose.

Is there an access hole somewhere to close it manually with a tool?
