1991 NSX Driver Window clunks at bottom when opening

I suspect this has something to do with the window regulator but couldn't find any discussion of my problem.
My driver side window goes up and down without problem, but when it gets to the bottom it recently started making a clunk sound. It all appears to work fine, but I don't like the clunk.
Any thoughts?

my 96 passenger window does this intermittently...The mechanism is getting worn/tired..I have not done the regulator/guide refresh...Its on the list..

In the regulator there are some bushings that when worn will cause the window to clunk when it bottoms out. I had mine rebuilt and sent along the SOS rebuilt kit and they work great now. I did try to rebuild them myself but it was a PITA and one of my cables ended up unwinding during the process.

I used Window Motor world in FL. Shipped out and back with a 2 day turn around, great service. I think it's a husband and wife team (though not sure).

Thanks. I thought it was something like that.
I'm trying to contact Window World to see about a rebuild.

In addition to the normal window regulator problems these cars have, at the bottom of the window travel there's a rubber pad on the slider that hits a little protrusion at the bottom of the rail. This rubber pad can crack apart and fall off due to age, so if its gone the window will start to make unpleasant noises at the bottom.

On mine, I cut a bit of a BMW suspension bump stop I had laying around to fit and now use that as the stopper and it seems to work pretty well. That being a high impact yet slightly pliable material, seemed like a good choice for a stopper.

Good tip! I've got to take my doors apart again for speaker stuff this summer so I'll have to take a look at that.
