You'd think that with his salary he could afford some free throw lessons? Bye bye Heat.

2 of 5 for 5 points, all career playoff lows. I like how Riley said "we have to do a better job of getting the ball in to Shaq in game 2". Oops!

Go Mavs!

I'm a heat fan, but they are not putting in a good showing at all. Pretty pathetic actually, can't blame it all on Wade's illness. Their defense is locking our boys down and then we help them along with bad fouls and horrendous performance at the line. I like the Mavs. They were my pick in the west and it's exciting to see them get to the finals.

How did the Heat make it this far? All any other team had to do to beat them was keep fouling Shaq every time he had the ball. :)

I think the Heat needs to sub out and go deeper down the bench. The heat
need fresh legs at the end of Q2 and the entire 2nd half.

We play the first quarter pretty competitive and then it all falls apart. All that running starts affecting our offense!

The only way I see the heat winning is if they slow down the game and develop a transition defense. To do that - they have to score more on the offensive end. However, a good defense isn't Riley's forte.

So if I had to guess - Mavs in 5.

Pretty crazy...Shaq was the one who made the clutch free throws in the end, not Dirk. HOWEVER, Dirk is going to burn their so called defender Haslem for 40 tommorrow night. Mavs in 5. (I hope)

Just so you know, Shaq is part of the "lost tribe" (MOT) and has found his way via a special "shake" made with "zymes". All will be good, look for him to dominate tonight. Don't ask me how I know, cause if I tell you, I'll have to shoot you!!!!!

Go Heat! I just want to see if Shaq can do it without Kobe.

I would say Heat will win tonight and even up the game 2-2.

He can't. Shaq is playing past his prime (though he is still the most dominant center in the league) and Wade isn't yet in his prime. Bad timing I guess. Although, If Shaq was 29-30 and D-Wade was in his fifth year or so, they'd win at least 3 straight rings. Wade already is better than Kobe in some aspects, and I don't see his learning curve slowing down. I think once he and Lebron reach their potential, the NBA is going to attract a lot more fans. That rivalry is going to be unbelievable to the younger generation who never witnessed greats like Bird, Magic, or even Jordan play. As far as tonight (and this series), The Big German is in attack mode, and he will not be stopped. Expect Hasselhoff to cry with joy tonight.

New prediction - Heat blow out Mavs in game 4, even series at 2 up. My last prediction was dead on.
You're a day late and a dollar short, Hugh is just short!!!

NBAfantastic! Did I say Miami win it all in game 7 or did I say Miami win it all in game 7?

Go Miami! I would like to see Mourning win a title...feel sorry for that guy.

Okay - prediction time for game 5:

Great game, I see it down to the wire, with some very dubious calls going Miami's way at the end. Possibly OT, with the Heat winning by 1. So far I'm 2 for 2 with my calls, in case you're scoring at home.

It's not his fault! Blame it on the coach inexperience. You can clearly see the coach asking for timeout.

Even if he didn't call it, for them to make a basket at half court with 1.5 seconds is slim.

Why, Josh Howard...WHY?

Avery didn't do anything, in my opinion. I think what happened was Howard turned around to ask Avery if he should call a timeout, somewhat making the motion with his hands, and the refs jumped to the conclusion that Howard was asking for one. Whether Howard was trying to get a timeout or was merely asking for one, it was his fault, not Avery's. His two missed free throws on the previous posession were even bigger mistakes. All that being said, I love Howard and I hope we're able to sign him to an extension in the off-season.

The video replay clip show clearly that Howard went to the ref TWICE and signaling for a time-out. I think Avery was trying to claim that he was telling the ref that time-out was "supposed and assumed" to be after the second shot. In the news conference, he said that the official ref should "know" that they had only 1 time left out and it "should" be after the second shot. Avery is "assuming" that the ref should be calling time-out for his team LOL. When it comes down to it, the coach needs to take responsibility for the team and players action on the field.

And FYI...Howard made the same mistake in his college days and cost the team the game by calling a time-out when the team didn't have any left.

Good luck tonight. Go Dallas...if they are playing Detroit :)
