Before I start this thread I wanna say thanks to Moe for referring this client to me.

Thank you Moe.

This is a new GTR I prep'd straight off the truck.

It was delivered Fri. evening and I started on it promptly Sat. morning at the dealership.

The dealership was kind enough to let me use their facilities for all the work.

Got started around 9am and finished around 4pm.

I'll describe the process as I post pics....

Here is the link, since I can't seem to copy and paste the pics from the other write up....

Nice. What were your overall impressions of the car?

Nice. What were your overall impressions of the car?

It seemed like a very solid well built car, the paint looked to have a good quality finish, I thought the interior lacked that "sporty" feel to it, but it made up for it when you turn it on and here those 480 ponies purrrring.

I liked it, but if I had to drop $80K I'd take a Z06 but then again I am JoshVette.

In one of the interior pictures which shows the GT-R mat (looks like the passenger side), there appears to be a huge scratch in the plastic molding under the seat (pic is in reply #8). Did the dealership actually deliver the car to the customer like this? If I was paying that much for this car and saw this, I'd be mighty peeved.

This might be a dumb question and please correct me if I'm wrong. I was always under the impression that you were supposed to spray the 'Instant Detailer' or whatever it is that comes in the package with the clay bar first and then use the bar. I've never seen anyone use the bar with water. Is that plain hose water or were you using the bar while the soapy(Dawn) water was still on the hood?

It wasn't until I got to the middle of this thread that I realized that you were prepping this car for someone else who just bought this car. I was under the impression you made the purchase of the R35 Skyline and the dealership was kind enough to let you assist with their detailer Moe and to use all the prepping materials at no charge, washing, and clay bar detailing and offered a red carpet photo shoot exclusively because of this purchase.

If that was the case, I was floored how great of a service they provided because I certainly didn't get that kind of royal treatment when I bought my '07 Lotus Exige S~!!!

Excellent detailing work Josh~!

Great job and the attention to detail is fantastic. It still gets me that you purchase an $80k vehicle and the GTR mats are optional!!!
