Why is it nice to know? I dont' know any one that owns or is impressed with ANY new Honda or Acura.

I think what he meant by nice to know is that Honda is still making quality and reliable cars in general even when the cars are ugly to look at. It's like ugly girls who put out, so to speak.

My wife needed an upgrade and we just spent the last 4 months driving just about everything in the cute ute catagory including Lexus, Infinity, Caddy, CRV's new and old, old RDX and the new RDX and of course the BMW X3's.

I'm NOT a Honda fan boy, I hoped we would settle on an X3 simply to contrast the NSX. We liked the X3 a lot mostly because of style though but when driven hard the tranny is junk. The old and new RDX's just flat blew them all away. We bought a low mileage 2009 RDX and love it, albiet the mileage is poor. The new RDX is a real winner IMO for most folks, but a little too big for our darting around town useage. It has mercedes like solidity. Fantastic euro like ride. I"ve never driven a honda product that didn't excell in spite of front wheel drive.

The new CRV is exemplory also, but way overpriced as all these utes are. Buying a used CRV is stupid as the resale value is only about $850 a year for the first few years.

Color me impressed with both the RDX and CRV. Now you know at least one person.
