2015 z06

The upcoming ZO6 looks amazing. Better performance than the ZR-1 - combined with the much nicer interior and fit-finish. Looks like a winner. 625 HP. If they decide to do another ZR-1, I can only imagine what kind of a monster that would be (700-800 HP).

So i sat in the base model C7 and it was pretty sweet.

The ONLY thing just can't take away from the NSX is that the NSX has that huge windshield....

targa is a big deal for me...i know the c7 has it but dont think the z06 will
the biggest factor is we will see tons of vettes on the street - every time i take the NSX out its a treat...U just don't seem them -especially in blue

This thing is nasty, and I mean that in the best possible way. Love the little form following function details like the black wheel lips on the front, but not on the back where they didn't need them.
Note to self.....proceed with caution when around one of these in the street....those power #'s are nuts. I agree it is a bit of a shame that it isn't N/A, but with that kind of power....who cares? That thing is probably a chip n' pulley away from 700+hp.

Yes, the NSX is rear - even moreso today with the numbers that are totaled.

C7 - like a M3 just has too many people and their mom's rolling it.

Corrected:-)

I went to SD auto show due to peer pressure (what a waste of time). Out of curiosity, sat in a C7 but the driveshaft tunnel is so wide and tall, my skinny arm keeps hitting it when I try to shift. pedals were fine for H&T but can't shift worth a bean.

That is one beautiful Corvette. Can't wait to see one in person.

"And, for the first time, the Z06 features a removable roof panel. Amazingly, the car is 20 percent stiffer than the ZR1 with the panel removed and 60 percent stiffer when it’s on."

My friend just picked up a C7.......I liked it better in the pictures. Still I'm sure the ZO6 is going to be amazing performance wise.

The C7 Z06 seemingly is the C6 ZR1 successor, but not a true "Z06" successor per-se. The Z06 personified lightweight, purity, optimization, balance, NA power delivery and balance of an existing Corvette platform. Rather analogous to the Zanrdi-edition NSX.

I wonder if a C6 GranSport type of C7-variant will be offered to fill the role of what the previous Z06s represented...

I hope they sell a ton of them. I want a 2008+ c6 zo6 mint with low miles for $20-25k asap.

A friend popped in last Friday in his 14 yellow Stingray. The car really really needs those Z06 fender flares. That should be standard.

The vette is a nice car, but the depreciate is so huge that targeting them as a DD (less decent gas mileage) makes sense to me. As denoted in an earlier post you could pick one up at the 2.5 to 4 year point at a fraction of the price.

I'd sell you mine which has the ZR1 package now, but not that low LOL.

Dave: I hope they don't do like they did with the C6 adding the ZO6/ZR1 body dimension on a base model C6/Grandsport. That was one of my reasons for picking a certain platform from visual enhancement by OEM other than performance. I really like this new ZO6. I'd go for the ZO7 package but terrified of the resale later. We will see. I STILL HATE THE BACKEND THOUGH!!!

Corvettes are disposable sports cars. You either go in on a lease or knowing that you will face a financial blood bath on a purchase. Secondly, do you really want to own a Corvette after the warranty expires? Charlotte's "Born On" date is 8/92. I'm willing to bet that at least 80% of the Corvettes built since then have long since been recycled into litter boxes, hockey pucks and Depends. The new ones are already all over the place in South Florida. They were given out as Christmas/Hanukkah presents to high school kids and college freshmen like roses on Valentine's Day.

What is not to like? Dry sump, aluminum chassis, 7-spd manual, targa top and 625hp that is only a pulley away from 750hp! Too damn many nice cars coming out.

hmmm I wonder how that supercharged motor will perform under heavy track usage:confused:
