2022 NSX Type S Registry

Just one more to finish out the weekend. Not so interesting unless you are in the market for a 1 miler new/used Type S. I had a feeling #055,19UNC1B09NY000055, had been hiding in a dealership somewhere. I had a single picture of this car on a showroom floor and was certain it was #055 and then a new posting in the past week showed up with it for sale at Pizza Auto Group. Yes, this is from the same dealership family that wrapped the Berlina Black #131 car in metallic gray matte color and for sale at Piazza Acura of Ardmore. According to public records, #055 was sold by Piazza Acura of West Chester on 04/08/22 to Piazza Acura of West Chester on 04/12/22. And viola, here we are a year later, and #055 is up for sale at Piazza Honda of Reading  . Sale price is at $286,495. The good news is that this listing fixed two bad data points. The color is 130R White rather than Casino White Pearl (whoops). Dealer also claims the car has all available options. Can't confirm a full red leather seats and for now the tracker has been corrected the previously posted Red Alcantara seats. Montage will be updated once interior photos can be had. Otherwise, it does have the Berlina Black Gloss wheels and the XM radio technology package. Estimated MSRP based on this information should be $187,495.

Whoohoo...Fantastic! Thank you so much.

#019 has Silver Calipers......
Is this car 130R White? It's supposed to be Casino White Pearl. So tough to tell in artificial light.

@Bricks and Bio, I believe this is car number #242 not #019 for a couple of reasons. The advertising dealer license plate says Zimbrick (Middleton). It appears to be 130R White not Casino White Pearl, the calipers should be Red and the interior should be full leather. Turns out I needed photos of #242 as well, I only have the production plate number, go figure. LMK what you find out. thanks again.

Here's my final analysis. I went to Zimbricks social media and pull a picture of a customer post purchase where I believe this NSX had sat and then overlaid the pictures to match the background.

Now confirmed to be #242 in 130R White
I believe the pics are of the Middleton store
My car was delivered to me from that spot
My sales person's desk is just beyond the divider you circled

so what did #258 sell for at mecum?
Dunno yet. Mecum posted only the top 10 cars numbers. I did look everywhere for it. It only says it was "SOLD" "Sold" "sold". I may go look at videos next to see if it can be seen but it may need to wait until its on rerun.

I might as well put this baby to sleep. #242, 19UNC1B08NY000242, has no particular background or interesting story other than one of mistaken identity. :cautious:. However, the photos found by @Bricks and Bio were instrumental in resolving many unknown options for this car. Most notability is the "SILVER CALIPERS", WOOT! I had previously placed red calipers (probably because it was a high probability guess for a 130R White car); But I had noted that and marked it for further investigation. And, a wheel choice was not yet selected. Mostly because the car was a real mystery outside of knowing the color and the dealership, Zimbrick Acura. Many have pointed out when new cars came into inventory, the system would automatically post them on the dealer's website. In this case, I know I saw it because the tracker had an inventory code of (#AC9324). I can bet there was a "stock" picture of a 130R White NSX as a placeholder. Since the stock picture is typically of the launch configurations, the calipers are silver. Who'd figure? The other major options are now confirmed to be red leather with black Alcantara insert seats, lightweight package, Shark Gray Matte wheels and the XM radio technology roof bump. I also had an MSRP for this build of $184,995, which also matches the configuration data gleamed from the photos...whew. As a side note, this car was produced in late September 2022. Looking closer, I just noticed that cars were popping off the production line in pairs. The two cars before, #240 and #241 were both GGM. #243 was 130R White. But then the next two were Indy Yellow Pearl followed by two Casino White Pearls. How odd is that?

Yes I'm a little befuddled at why they don't post price, unless they want you to pay some membership crap...I watched day4-8 and did not see it..I'm working my way backwards.

Holy cow, I've been so remised on a certain posting. This NSXPrime member has been tremendously helpful in building our Type-S tracker. His social media presence has collected untold number of NSX Type-s photos that have either identified or led to the discovery of unknown production numbers. We have a way to go in documenting the entire set production cars, but it goes without saying @The Kid has been a big influence on this project. I've been collecting photos on #024 since the beginning. The same is true for most of the prime members with Type S cars and until I have a set worthy of posting, you'll just have to wait or post more photos of your cars in distinctive locations. ;).

Now a cool story on Long Beach Blue Pearl color. A couple of days ago, I hunted down the backstory on LBBP and Acura. Is LBBP an official color? I first went to find a list of all the historically made Crayola colors. I've got to tell you, there are a lot of fricken Crayola colors. But alas no LBBP. The closest color (I think) from all the LBBP cars I've seen is a "magic scent crayon" called "New Car Blue (III) with a hexadecimal color code of [HASH=1275]#0066FF[/HASH]. Okay, now I went to check out several touchup paint companies to see what they listed for the LBBP for 2022 Acura NSX. The hexcode for the sample color chip varied but most are near [HASH=1276]#0431DA[/HASH]. If you have PowerPoint, go to the "shape fill" function and select "more fill options...." then select the "custom" tab. There you can enter the hex value to see what it looks like. Nice but it seems too chromatic and too dark. Anyways, LBBP first appeared on the gen 1 NSX in 2002. What I didn't know was that the color names of the NA1/NA2 NSX were named after famous races (I would add racetracks too), according to an Acura spokeswoman, Allie Mayer Coulter. Anybody know any race or racetrack using Berlina or Kaiser in it? This is a stretch but does Kaiserpreis count? It stands for "Emperor's Prize" and was an auto race in held in 1907 and a precursor to the German Grand Prix. According to Wikipedia, "The Long Beach Grand Prix is the longest running major street race held in North America. It started in 1975 as a Formula 5000 race and became a Formula One event in 1976. In an era when turbocharged engines were starting to come to prominence in Formula One, Long Beach remains one of the few circuits used from the time Renault introduced turbos in 1977 until the last Long Beach Grand Prix in 1983 that never once saw a turbo-powered car take victory." F1 needs to return there. Back to why you are here reading this, in @The Kid's own words:

Owner Name: The Kid
Location: North Brunswick, NJ
Exterior Color: Long Beach Blue
Interior Color: Ebony Leather
Options: Full leather interior, Shark Grey wheels, Carbon Engine Cover
Build Number: 24/350

Do note the super cool license plate cover paint in matching color and signed by the PMC team in the lower left. Man, I wish I had one of those in Novelle Blue Pearl. Hope you like the montage.

A bit of background on the next Type S posting. I ran across this website that's more like a blog that's been around since January 2010. Its in Spanish and is a mishmash, of auto pictures and descriptions with no real purpose but to inform people on anything automotive. In the blogger's own words from his very first posting on the site www.alsrac.com, "To start new year and new decade, I have decided to change the format of ALSRAC Productions, the members who have followed me from the beginning, will remember that I started sending e-mails, sometimes saturated with photos that I had to send in several parts, followed the presentations in powerpoint, or as I call them, the pps, it was time for a change, It was time to evolve.

The idea, however, is not of my own, everything arose recently when watching a movie, which I personally would not recommend, but nevertheless helped me to take the decision to take a step further in this that as you know is my hobby and that I like to share. The main theme will continue to be the automotive, although as usual, from time to time I will touch on other topics, either to show you the particularities of these lands or to simply expose things of my interest. So, a new stage begins in the life of ALSRAC Productions, as always, I hope it is to your liking. Welcome, thank you for your attention and allow me to enter your monitors. Atte"

Within the years of postings, I found one Acura Type S back on May 20, 2022. It's actually a decent review of car #017,
19UNC1B01NY000017. Thanks were given at the end of the blog to Acura Jay Wolfe in Kansas City, Missouri. Built in the first month of production in January 2022, #017 was the third Casino White Pearl car off the production line. It was well configured with the lightweight package and looking closely in the interior shot you can see the carbon fiber instrument visor. The calipers are the popular red color with the Berlina Black Gloss wheels. It also has the controversial XM Radio Technology package. Interior is the full ebony leather seats. Estimated MSRP is $188,495.

Pictures speak for themselves. Car #201, 19UNC1B05NY000201 was built in mid-August 2022 and delivered new to Pohanka Acura Chantilly, VA. This is a fully loaded configuration with the maximum possible MSRP in the US of $193,495. This is also one of the few cars with the Silver calipers matched up with the carbon ceramic rotors from the lightweight package. Interior is full Ebony seats but alas no CF dash hoodie. Lastly it was ordered with the technology package aka the XM antenna roof bump. I am not sure which looks better the red or silver calipers on GGM. This is only one of 2 GGM's with silver calipers. The other is #004!

Just by happenstance, I ran across another silver caliper-based configuration today while looking through my collection of photos. Car #278, 19UNC1B07NY000278, comes from Paragon Acura in New York. The dealership did a nice job documenting the arrival by video and still photos after it was placed on the showroom floor in early November 2022 after it rolled off the production line mid-October 2022. Painted in Curva Red, #278, got a complete cache of options including full Ebony leather seats, lightweight package with of course silver brake calipers, contrasting Berlina Black Gloss wheels and the XM radio. The dash visor is confirmed to be covered in Alcantara (no suprise there). Estimated MSRP is calculated at $187,495.

#076 has already been documented. Buttttt, I had catalogued pictures of NSXPO 2022 with #076 taking center stage. Hopefully, you find them interesting.

Just found a Honda NSX Type-S! Picture was taken by Ryo @carphoto_ryo in Ginza Toyko on April 15th, 2023. I believe this is a 130R White. Because I cant see a rear spoiler and there is only one 130R exported w/o it, this should be car #328, NC1-1500028. I have more pictures of this car and will post a montage soon.

so the black Type S hammered at 209k...

Highest mileage Type S I've seen to date, Car number #047, 19UNC1B0XNY000047. 4,001 miles on the clock and up for sale at Findlay Acura, $238,484.

I've been toiling over the identity of a car for some time now. It's really been a process of elimination that's narrowed down the production number to #158, 19UNC1B08NY000158. At first, I thought this might have been car #022 because the owner's social media name is 22nc1nsx_type_s but the problem is #022 comes from Naples Acura with red calipers (I have a video of it at the dealership) and this car has silver calipers. Looking at the owner's postings, the car was seen at PMC in mid to late July 2022. The car was PPFed in September 2022. In other words, this car had to be built in June or early July 2022. All the GGM's produced in that time frame have known caliper colors except #158. #134 is the only other possible GGM but I have confirmed pictures of it at the dealership with red calipers. The last nail was the interior, Orchid interior. Hard to see but it's there in the lower left picture. With that, here's #158 from Acura of Ellicott City, Berlina Gloss Black wheels, lightweight package, one of 23 cars with "Silver" calipers, Orchid seats and XM radio. The estimated MSRP is $192,495.

Woohoo....I found another Gotham Gray Matte Metallic car not previously reported. We now have a total of 65 GGMs identified. This one comes from Vandergriff Acura in Texas. #087, 19UNC1B00NY000087, was previously undocumented with a single option showing 130R White in color and no other information. I said it before and here is a good example of missed information. There are not many of these left and this was an important one. I stumbled across a single picture of a GGM @Complete Autobody, LLC sitting next to a matching PMC TLX. I went to the net and looked at maps to see where this company is located and then searched for nearby Acura dealerships. There are three. Two of them had complete information on their allocations and then there was Vandergriff Acura right near Complete Autobody about halfway between Dallas and Fort Worth and just south of Arlington, Texas. There is an incomplete posting for them an car #089. And again, the color was 130R White. I went to back to social media and poked at the dealership postings....nothing. And then I found a Spanish version of Vandergriff Acura's Instagram and BAM! There it was several pictures of a GGM in their showroom starting back June 11, 2022. Now the question, is this car #089? I went back to the autobody shop and there they posted another picture of a guy shooting pictures of this car by The Skyline Agency. I went over to the agency's social media postings which led me to @derekbraundallas (I am guessing is one of their photographers) and there's one movie that flashes through dozens of stills. And WHAM! There it was a picture of the production plate along with many other photos revealing all the options for this car. They were really hard to capture but here they are. Confirmed is a red interior with Alcantara insert seats, lightweight package with red calipers, the rare CF instrument visor, Berlina Black Gloss wheels and the even rarer no XM radio antenna. Whew! what a trip. Enjoy.

One last note as to why this car has been unknown for so long. Take a look at the public record on its sales and listings:

Lightning strikes twice today, err night. Car #344, 19UNC1B07NY800014, is one of only two Valencia Red Pearls exported to Canada. Up until today, I only had one photo of it in Northwest Acura dealership's showroom (see upper left photo). We already have a complete options list for this car and these pictures 100% confirm our database. The only new insight is the CF binnacle is now confirmed. But I have to tell you, this paint is stunning. Man...look at those layers of colors. It so impressive, the top center photo really shows the complete spectrum of reds. I should also note, this car is up for sale on Auto.Trader.ca for $369,000 CAD with 819 km on the odometer (about 509 miles).

Looks like a Black Type S VIN 19UNC1B0XNY000131 that has been wrapped to look like GG for sale in PA.
Looks pretty good.
But hopefully customers being told it is a wrap. $289,900
