Well, I'm looking into buying a four wheeler.

I've come up with a few that interest me, but they are all over the spectrum. Does anyone have opinions? or reviews of your own four wheelers? recommendations?

Here is what I'm interested in (all of them are brand new):

06 Honda Rancher 350 4x4: $4100
07 Suzuki Eiger 400 4x4: $5199
06 Yamaha Bruin 350 4x4: $4500
07 Kawi. Brute Force 650 4x4i: $7000

Thanks for any input you may have.

if you have the money for the kawi, get it. but spend the extra 500 bucks and get the 750. the engine has a ton of power and they are fun to ride. the rancher is kind of entry where as the kow is basically top of the line. check out the honda forman. i like them a lot too. just so you know, i am prety sure kawasaki and suzuki are just rebadged copies of each other. at least their sport models (2 wheel drive, race models) are.

also check out bombardier. i have a friend that owns one and they beat the snot out of it and never breaks.

Depends what you want the 4 wheeler for. Racing, hard terrain, or for utility reasons.

Im into the racing and I use a 2 stroke but I do have 4 strokes. Since 2 strokes are not made anymore, I recommend the raptor 660, honda 450 or the yzf450. Ive raced all the bikes except the yzf, but I have raced against one and they are all good bikes. If you go out to the desert, that is what you will see, if not the 2 strokes.

I'm hooked on wheelin. I have a 07 Brute 750i on 29.5's. Just about every add on you can get. The bike is BAD!! I had a Honda Rubicon Foreman 500 before that. i was very happy with the Rubi, but I'm a sucker for more power:biggrin: I would suggest the Rubi over the Rancher all day. But if you want the ultimate big dog get either the Brute 750 or the Bombardier Can-am 800.

Well, here is what got me hooked on the Brute Force 650i. Click the video and watch it. According to them, the 650i is faster and lighter, and they prefered it over the 750i.

I was shopping around tonight, and found a 750i cheaper BRAND NEW than the 650i but $300. I went to the dealer today, and they had 4 750i's in stock, and were sold out of the 650i's.

As for the Honda, unless I get the run-around tomorrow, I'm going to pass on it. For my girlfriend, I'm going to try and drive up to Oklahoma to pick-up a Suzuki Eiger, $4299 out the door. I did find some GREAT deals on 2006 new Honda's here.

I'm hoping to pickup an BF 650i for around $6K out the door (crossing my fingers).

If anyone knows someone that can pass on a great deal, post it here.

Thanks,

JM

For whatever its worth...
In 1996 I bought a Suzuki King Quad- I have rebuilt the motor once- due to changing the oil, forgetting to refill it and sending it out to work.
I have replaced the clutch.
Changed the oil.
Thats it.
3526 hard miles.

This quad has been abused working for me.
It sits more now than ever, but it starts up every time, unless the battery is dead and then the back up pull start fixes that.
