hi guys I don't want to start fight or get flamed..just want to share my experience.
My friend just got a 94 Supra TT and did some mods and I was lucky enough to drive it last weekend. The car has Esprit downpipe, exhaust, HKS boost controller, intake..I know there's few more but I can't remember. After driving it for half an hour, all I can say is I'm addicted to the turbo power..which pulled me SO hard when it kicked in. I felt my NSX is damn slow after the Supra experience. However, the whole driving "feeling" of the NSX is still MUCH better than the supra and I don't regret getting the NSX over the Supra months ago

Yeah, I have a friend who's on mkiv.com, his name is Nero goes to University of Texas in Arlington. His supra is in the high 9's. You can look up his times on mkiv. While I was at UTA, he let me go for a ride. It was the most ubelievable experience in a car I have ever had. He had a single turbo conversion on there. He told me he had finished making payments on the car but was still making payments on the turbo?!?! Total price of the car and mod's was aroud 40-50k if u can believe it! I was convinced that was my dream car. I've heard they are horrible on the track w/ such high horse power. They end up sliding around, loosing too much traction w/ that much HP. I'm a NSXaholic now and that's never going to change.

It is very easy to get amazing power from a Toyota Supra. After I purchased my 94 NSX I thought that maybe I had made a mistake. I like going fast and my car was not satisfying this part of the equation. However, after slapping a set of rims on it an lowering it an inch or so, I can't stop looking at the car. What the car lacks in 'raw power' it make up in looks. I would not trade it now for 2 Supras. If possible, I would like to have both some day.

You can certainly get a lot of power with some relatively inexpensive mods to a Supra. The same is true of Mustangs and Camaros. However, these muscle cars are all quite heavy - 3508 pounds in the case of the most recent Supra TT - so the horsepower advantage is somewhat offset by the additional weight.

I've seen normally-aspirated NSX's trounce Supra TT's on the racetrack. However, this could have been due to differences in driver skill rather than the cars themselves.
