Clearly you are not in tune with the ITR market, believe it or not they made a few more s2000's.
OP, PM user doespike on here. He knows this car personally and leads the ITR registry so he's an amazing point of contact for this.
I'm not sure about the miles, I emailed him the phone numbe. If it was sent for the cadadian market then I would believe its kilometers.
$14000 will get you a very nice US model.

I sold my 2000 ITR for $14,500 about 6 years ago.
Looks like these cars are better investments then the stock market.
Side question, will they ever go UP in value?
To the OP, I would go for it. Talk him down $1-2k maybe.

Very fun cars to drive. I would try to get him down to 14k. I love the b series motors. So easy to work on and accept mods very well. If I was going to go down that road again, I'd go with a built NA setup or get a vortech SC.
I had a 2000 Civic Si with a built motor. I did the JRSC, then high compression NA, then built a Frankenstein motor (sleeved CRV block with vtec head) to swap in with a turbo. Ended up hurting my back pretty bad and sold the car while recovering. Spent a lot of time driving and playing with friends ITR's.

I am honestly having the hardest time deciding on this car, my gut says yes. My clutch foot says rx7, my eyes say Supra, my johnson says m3. It's horrible
Depends what you want out of it.
The ITR can be your weekend track toy. It's ready out of the box to do track days and it's not going to break. 8,400rpm all day long and it's happy. Just add gas and go again.
The RX7 is a cool ride, but obviously not in any way reliable. Maybe with a LS1 swap...
The Supra is similar to the NSX is a lot of regards.
M3s depend on the year. The older ones aren't much fun IMO. The newer cost a lot more than a used ITR and are expensive to fix.

I slaughter mine and don't trailer it to events. From Michigan to Georgia, drive there, beat it, drive home.
Easier to find the Yellow, and Black ones- Champ White is more difficult, and desirable IMO.
With that said, I was ready to pay 16k US back in 2005 for a Black Type R, but the guy got cold feet on me.

That would of been a good deal back then. I bought my first 2000 R in 2005 with 140k on it for 15.3k.
I see S2000s all day long at the track and they are fast. I think if tracking is what you want that would be the car to get.. you can beat that all day too with a large aftermarket support and following.
A used S2000 would probably be in the same price range too.

I knew him from my GSR days. Guy was too paranoid to drive it and it stayed in his garage all the time. Wife wanted him to sell it and I offered to take it off his hands for his loan value. He came to his senses when I told him the bank pre-approved my money. LoL

The ITR is an EXCELLENT car. There are days where I actually prefer to drive it over the NSX. It's just so high strung and it does exactly what you want it to. It's ridiculously predictable and just all around awesome. Serial Integra owner here. I've never driven an S2k but I'd like to try a CR sometime.
There's almost never ITR's for sale anymore. I think I searched the other night and found less than 5.
$16k is not bad.. but I would rather have a CCW '98 or BLK '00. The headlights of the '94-'97 model Integra were just too small.
So many have been abused... hell I'd take a '98-'99 black GSR like i used to have.. but i can never trust the purchase. Just my opinion.

97 tends to be the most sought after year because it was the first year for USDM and there were the fewest cars produced that year. Also the least have survived. Some of us prefer the recessed headlights as opposed to the flush ones that came with all cars 98+. My car is a 98 and is a perfectly clean example. It has 90k miles on it. I'll never sell it though. Not on your life.

It's 77000, all I'm wondering is why the 97 is so desirable. Is it because so few of them? I never driven one, i just want one. For those who drove one maybe you can tell me if its different then a gsr. Basically is it worth the 16.
It's worth every cent. From the sound of that ad this car has a wonderful pedigree but I would still bring a mechanic along to put the car up on a hoist and do a look see before you make any offers.
If you do buy it make sure you garage it and never leave it parked anywhere not even for 5 minutes out of your line of sight.

That's what I was going to ask 8400RPM--when I owned my 97, theft was by far the biggest concern and it kinda drags on the ownership experience. It was okay for me as it was really a weekend/track car, but I would warn anyone who buys one to be super, super careful of theft. People would try to follow me home and I would have to ditch them.
Even with all that, it was still the best car ownership experience I have ever had. Yes, better than the NSX in certain ways, IMO.
