Am in the market for a set of Zanardi wheels.
So far, all the wheels offered to me need work / at a min. touch up.
They all have Curb rash, weight marks or worse.
Are the BBS Zanardi wheels finish just painted?
Can it be touched up?
Would it be an easy fix to get rid of the curb rash & dings?
Or would they require complete refinishing?
Thanks!

It is painted, but I am not sure a touch up would look right (I guess it's hard to say for sure without seeing the damage in question). I would build into your costs the price of completely refinishing the wheels if there is damage and price your offer accordingly.

Thanks, made a deal on a set Fri.
3 are nice, one has 6"-8" curb rash on just the lower lip/edge.
I think this should be an easy paint touch up?
Any info on the correct paint?
Have Pic's, will try and post later.

Could that info be in the FAQ? I know from pics the paint seems similar to the OEM 94-96 wheel color, but I am not sure, and have never seen a Zanardi in person.

You know I was thinking of some wheels a member here had painted and they were darker like the Zanardi wheels. Good catch on that one Ojas.

I wonder if the dealer would have a paint code on them?

Are the BBS "Type S/Zanardi" wheels a standard model series that can be ordered from a BBS dealer? I believe in Japan
they come in a couple of finishes...the darker Zanardi grey
we are used to seeing & also a ligher silver, closer to our
OEM painted wheels.

Here is the one that needs help, the other 3 are fine.
Yes, I believe its a different color than other NSX wheels.

My local dealer told me they don’t and said they are not provided with paint codes for any wheels. They said they could look at my wheels and "find something close." Lame.

Thanks! will add it to the other 3!

(as a bonus, I can try 2 brands of tire at the same time! LOL LOL)
