I don’t typically leave feedback in this section unless someone completely pisses me off or unless I had an absolutely fantastic experience with a seller.

Last week, I saw a thread in the parts for sale section that was started by Paul (AKA:Si1ver&B1acK). I noticed he was selling a complete Stoptech Big Brake Kit for a great price so I sent a PM letting him know that I was interested. I was a little weary because it was Paul’s first post on prime and although the BBK was a great price they were still not cheap and I didn’t want to get screwed.

Paul returned my message in a timely manner describing the exact condition of the brakes and even offered his phone number so I could talk to him directly. Just to be sure, I decided to give him a call and I have to say, he is a very standup guy. He explained how he acquired the car and why he was parting it out. He even offered multiple references of performance shops in his area that he takes his race car to.

After talking on the phone for a little while, I felt comfortable enough and decided to pull the trigger and purchase the brakes from him. I asked for his PayPal address and he said, “Before you pay, let me take the brakes off the car, inspect them one last time and send you some pictures. I promise I will not sell them to anyone else until you see the pictures and give me the final okay that you want them.” I agreed and the very next day he sent me a ton of pictures. The pictures were exactly what he described so I told him I wanted them and sent him the money.

The very next day, Paul sent me a PayPal payment receipt with the tracking number of the shipment. Now fast forward about 4 business days and I received the shipment in its entirety. I opened each box to check out my new BBK and WOW! I could not believe how PERFECTLY packaged these things were! I have purchased new items that were not packaged this neatly! Everything was wrapped in bubble wrap and labeled. All the nuts and bolts were in nice baggies with labels on them telling me what they went to. He took the time to neatly tape up all the brake line holes in the calipers just in case there was any extra brake fluid in them.

Finally, to top it all off, Paul went the extra mile and called me the day after I received the parts just to make sure I received them and to ensure I was happy with them. How many sellers do that?!

All in all, I was extremely happy with the service that was provided from Paul (AKA:Si1ver&B1acK) and would not hesitate to do business with him again in the future. Oh, I forgot to mention, a great thing about Paul is that he recognizes that a “used part” is a “used part” and he doesn’t try to sell it for damn near the same price as a “new part”.

Regards,

Steve
