Am I the only one who thinks that some of the new versions of smilies are really lame, and no longer convey the attitude that ought to be intended?
Here are a few examples and I think you'll see what I mean:
"Eek" - intended to show shock
old version - animated, shows proper shocked attitude
new version - looks like the face of a cartoon insect
"Rolleyes" - intended to show sarcasm
old version - animated, shows proper sarcastic attitude
new version - not sure whether that's a leer or a smirk
"Tongue" - intended to show a teasing attitude
old version - animated, shows proper teasing attitude
 new version - looks like the smilie had too much to drink
"Big Grin" - intended to show a very happy attitude
old version - animated, shows proper happy attitude
 new version - looks like Jerry Lewis, complete with false buck teeth
