Actual NSX brochures over the years...

I have collected many NSX brochures over the years from Acura dealers and the dealer kiosks at car-shows.

I am in the process of producing some exact copies for some friends/enthusiasts locally. They will be reproduced at a professional copy-center to exact size/color-quality/paper-bond/etc'...

List:

• Car & Driver, May '94: "Acura NSX, Reigning King" (8 pages) $4

• Sports Car Int'l, April '95: "NSX-T: Acura's Open Secret" (8 pages + intro' dealers letter) $4

(creased image above won't be used for copies!)

(image above is from online, actual image will be used from magazine!)

• Acura NSX Accessories flyer, 2003 (2 pages) $1.50

Postage will be approx'...

- $1.00 for each brochure > 10pages
- $1.50 for each brochure 10pages - 20 pages
- $2.00 for each brochure > 20pages

Yes, multiple brochure purchases will most definitely lower combined shipping!
(I will quote you on that, depending on total brochures per parcel)


If anyone is interested in acquiring any of the aforementioned brochures, just state which ones you want.

The cost will simply be the actual printing cost + shipping (USPS media-rate, FTW!). I will send them out in-between cardboard in padded enveloped denoted "please do not fold!"

Once I can gauge an idea which and how many brochures I need to get reproduced, I will post a price. I *think* there is a better-price for bulk-copies from the copy-center... (anticipate a cost of around a Starbucks beverage to a Chipotle meal for the brochures, lol)

Nota Bene: I have no desire nor intent to make any money from this endeavor; I just wish to propagate the NSX to as many fellow enthusiasts as I can!

Thanks BATMANs. I am sticking w/ Acura/Honda dealer-supplied materials, for now. I have dozens of magazines/journals w/ NSX articles but reproducing those are a bit challenging along w/ potential copyright issues. But, in the future I might!

I had a few NSX dealer brochures and ad's from the 90's which I kept archived w/ my college/grad-school texts... well, my family 'donated' many of the boxes that contained the materials to book-centers when I was away.

I am still searching through some old bins/containers/boxes of mine for some NSX-related stuff; time will tell as to how lucky I may be! :redface:

I *think* I may have a '91 or '92 NSX dealers brochure as well as a '95 or '96 NSX-T dealers brochure, and some other misc' Acura NSX mailings (ie. post-cards, flyers, commemorative stuff, etc'...).

Trust me NSX'masses... some of these are juicie'liscious, mmm-mmm good!

This is a great idea, I just want to check my collection at home to see what Im missing. I have the original Zanardi stuff and pretty much everything else from 02-05 :wink: I have a huge collection of car memorabilia....I might have to send you some stuff to replicate for the guys:biggrin:

addendum...

I've added photos (brochure-covers, only), prices, and approx. shipping/postal costs in the original post.

Here's the price break-down for those who actually care...

- $25 image-editing charge per 'project' (ie. brochure), as most of the brochures above don't conform to standard 8.5"x11", 8.5"x14", or 11"x17".
*this cost will be waived, as I, myself will scan/resize each image-page and put on a 'disc for printing.*
- $0.40/page paper 'upgrade' charge (11"x17")
- $1.00/color-copy per side, 'premium-grade' (11"x17")
- $0.40/brochure folding/stapling charge
- $0.0825 Texas state sales tax
- USPS media-rate for parcels

Thus...

(1) 11"x17" => (2) 8.5"x11", halving cost!

So, all the brochures will be 8.5"x11" (exception: Acura NSX Alex Zanardi Edition dealers brochure, 6 pages... 12"x12"). The cost/page is approx. ~$0.75/page; there may be a bulk discount if enough pages are printed, which will drop the per-page cost down to $0.50/page! (that is the rate that I quoted in the original post, in terms of brochure cost)

I must add, though... I'm working on getting a better overall 'package' from various printer/copy-centers, so prices are not set in stone yet!

I will have a more finalized pricing-scheme once I know generally how many brochures to get made...

O.k., I received some pm's, so I need those people to post here what they wish for!

I need to get a solid list before I goto the print-shop so I can get the right number made of each brochure. I want to avoid making multiple trips just to make a single copy or so. I truly appreciate your succinctness on this!

Would you consider scanning them and selling Me (or whoever) a cheaper E-copy?

I am not *personally* scanning/resizing the brochures/flyers, due to their unique dimensions and the limitations of my scanner's size. However, if I do get all/most of the material saved as images, I will look into uploading it onto NSX Prime's Wiki'.

And don't be ridiculous, there will never ever be a cost for any e-version(s) of any NSX material(s)!

I have one of 1991 (if I remember right) Hardcover NSX Book/Brochures available...

You're best bet is to take a photo of the hard-cover NSX book and place a "for sale" ad' in the NSX market-place forum.

If it's the silver/black cover book that Acura dealers gave to prospective NSX buyers, it generally sells for $50/shipped.

If it's the full black-cover book that early-model NSX owners received from Acura via mail, the price is subject to market/demand and can vary greatly.
