Just brought my NSX in for an oil change at the nearest dealer. Couple days later Acura calls me up and wants me to answer a survey on how my experience went.

WTF? Phone calls at home? I tell the guy please put me on your Do Not Call list, don't call back.

Next day, they call again. Same caller ID number (616-980-2131), different guy, asking the same questions. Again, i say please don't call me at home. The telemarketers already call me so much, I hate to see the list growing. Not Acura too - please STOP!

Anyone else had their dinner interrupted by Acura? I wonder if BMW or Lexus does this to their customers.

This is not what I consider "telemarketers".

Telemarketers are companies/individuals who make blind sales calls to the general public (or targeted customer lists) which is not in response to any action taken by those being called.

These calls, on the other hand, are the result of a personal business transaction in which you took your car in for service. They are not calling everyone in the phone book (or more) and they are not even calling everyone who has bought a car from them. This is a follow-up call to your service visit. It is considered good customer service for a business to make sure that everything went well. It is also one way for businesses to measure how successful they are at satisfying their customers.

When I get a call after a service visit, it comes from my specific dealer, not from Acura. If you prefer not to be called afterwards, try mentioning it to your dealer when you are there for service.

I hate telemarketers. I don't mind when my dealership calls me after a service visit to make sure that I am a satisfied customer.

I would enjoy the call. Just another way to take pride in the nsx, because there not calling everyone.

I get calls from Acura to see how happy I was with their service (for whenever I bring the Integra or NSX in)

True, the term telemarketers isnt right, i tend to lump them together as companies that call you for something other than direct business. guess my line is drawn higher than most.

Otherwise, that Do Not Call list has actually been pretty effective. Spam has been cut back too. Now can we do something about the junk paper mail i get? how many trees get felled to supply all that stuff?

I wish my local Acura dealer cared enough to call and see if I was satisfied with the work completed.

I've had my car serviced at two dealers. One was in California and the other here in Raleigh. Both made calls to me after every time a service was completed to see if I was pleased or had any questions. I have always appreciated the follow up.

Are you guys getting the call after warranty work or regular paid maintainance?

Mine was for paid maintainance. It has happened EVERY time I went the dealership.

they used to give you a free oil change for filling out their surveys, not anymore :(

I dont mind that they call, BUT when I specificy asked them not to and they did it pissed me off cause it caused me problems!!!

I don't know about Lexus, but I do know that I recieved a phone call from BMW everytime I took my M3 in for service

The squeeky wheel gets oiled.
Your dealer is helping you squeek, take advantage of it, it wil get you better service in the future.
But that is not your concern, you hate telemarketers.
Actually you hate to be market to.
Do not call list,
Spam blocker,
the desire to have junk mail removed by your postal service.
Dont we all wish less of this?
BUT...
I assume you own a business or work for one, and it probably sells something, and that something being sold probably pays your paycheck. Marketing makes your paycheck bigger.
